System 3 and Eutechnyx have released a new preview video of their Playstation 3 title Supercar Challenge, showing a dry and wet Lamborghini race on the Nürburgring Grand Prix track.
While the graphics overall are pretty impressive, the highly inaccurate track modelling spoils this title a bit. Some corners are hard to recognise and elevation seems to be ignored completely.
Supercar Challenge will include over 40 cars that can be raced on over 20 tracks, the car selection is mainly made up of road-going sports cars but also includes race cars like the Corvette C6.R and the Aston Martin DBR9.

It looks and sounds horrible, I can’t imagine this being a game on somebody’s wanted list.
Judging from the horrible grid start, the physics aren’t too good either.

Tiff’s intro is the best bit about the video, unfortunately. More of teh bad track modelling, and the game doesn’t look at all impressive compared to the upcoming crop of racers.

the upshift sounds are annoying, just like in Ferrari challenge.

Agreed, Jos. And as I recall, track accuracy was lacking in Ferrari Challenge as well, seeing as they made the second chicane at Monza more like a fourth-gear “S” bend. Weird shifting sounds, poor physics (especially when you slide the car a bit)… I don’t expect anything good from Supercar Challenge.

I’m sorry but if you are a game developer, you can not honestly believe you made a good product here. Everyone can see it’s s**t.
*Edit: Just for a good laugh, go to GameTrailers, find this game, find this trailer and have a look at the comments. They are saying this has better physics and graphics then Forza 3 and GT5 (well some people are).

the physics, the sound, the modelling (the track looks sooo wrong
) don’t look good.
