Simbin has opened the official homepage of their STCC game today. The simulation will be focusing on the Swedish Touring Car Championship, one of Europe’s strongest touring car series that runs to the same regulations as the WTCC.
STCC – The Game will be featuring all of RACE07’s content including two WTCC seasons, Radicals, Formula 3000 and the Mini Challenge. Brand new content comes with the 2008 STCC season including all cars and seven brand new tracks in Sweden and Norway. Furthermore, the Chevrolet Camaro Cup will be included.
Even though the STCC series is a national championship, it features more variety than it’s bigger World Championship brother. In the series, the well known BMW 320si, Chevrolet Lacetti and Seat Leon mix and mangle with the Volvo C30 & S60, the Peugeot 308 as well as the Audi A4.
Below are the first screenshots, showing a taste of the very scenic tracks as well as some new cars. The screenshots do not include any of the brand new models yet, all we get to see are the known WTCC cars in new liveries.
According to the website, STCC – The Game is due to be released this fall in Scandinavia. No word has been given about a release in the rest of the world, the fact that the game’s website is in English indicates that an international release will be coming. Hit “Read More” to find the full list of tracks and cars included in the game.

Anyone know if this will be made available as an add on for Race07 or GTREvo? Not sure I want to pay full price for more than 50% content I own already.

Thanks for the preview. I hope it has some truly value-added content that we can’t get through freeware mods to existing sims, assuming it’s not just another add-on package. A new graphics engine and more photo-real cockpits and tracks would be a big help, although I’m not sure today’s PC’s could run photo-real graphics and still have CPU time to operate the sim. Nobody’s done that yet.

It wont have a new Graphics engine as it’s an addon to Race07 as is GTR Evolution.
Looks great and I’ll get it even if I have to buy Race07 again as well.

Hail Scandinavia! Now we just need the DTC(Danish Touringcar championship), and I’d be happy for the rest of my life(almost, still need codemasters to make a GOOD f1 game)

Floptickle, Codemasters have a hard time making a good racing game that’s not arcade, they will never achieve the level rFactor has reached for F1 racing. Sorry mate :P
