I agree – STCC is clearly primarily aimed at the Scandinavian market.

Simbin’s release on steam has always been somewhat later presumably to help ATARI but I did think it would be released a month after the boxed version. The lack of a release date is also rather bizzare :)

I dont think Sweden is 5% of the STCC buyers, but maybe 5% of us in here are from Sweden and Norway. There is a difference. (I think)

Good review, but in my opinion you must do another review to talk about the release politics from Simbin.

They deliver good addons to the comunity but we are paying for that to, this silence is not right and the release strategy neither!!!! And if Sweden is 5% of STCC Buyers why they still wait for the Steam release????

Well written review Montoya, nice build up and all necessary things from a racing game/sim are mentioned :!:

And I do agree that the lack of fun driving the FWD touring cars, never really been my thing, is more than made up by the fun I have driving/sliding the Camaro’s around those short and twitchy Swedish race tracks :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

It would not surprise me that when STCC does eventually come out on Steam, it will be at a cheaper price than the full retail boxed version I got from Sweden, but I simply lost patience. It seems no lessons have been learnt from what happened in the GTR-Evolution Steam debacle!

I bought boxed version too(Finland). And this is great addon, tracks are quite same kind as tracks in Finland and Camaros are nice cars.

Btw. It’s Mustasch, not Moustasch…

I agree. Nice review, Montoya.

I think the Camaro Cup cars are as beautiful as a turd, but they make up for that in fun factor. So all of you who have been sliding around in HistorX will get the hang of it quicker, hehe. And the tracks are really great.

I am one of the 5% who could by the boxed version, so I did that, despite owning GTR Evo + Race 07 allready. The price was very low anyway.
