SRT – Thrustmaster T300RS First-Look

The guys over at InsideSimRacing have gotten their hands on Thrustmaster’s upcoming T300RS wheel, taking us along for a first look.

Compatible to the PC, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4, the T300RS is the smaller brother to Thrustmaster’s top-shelf T500RS wheel, lacking some of its more professional features like the inverted pedals as well as the clutch pedal.

Like its bigger brother, the T300RS is powered by a brushless motor, Thrustmaster’s patented Heart Hall Effect Accurate Technology as well as 16 bit contactless magnetic sensor.

The wheel will go on sale later this month for a planned retail price of 369,99€.

That is a very interesting product. The T500 is an attractive wheel, but I already have better pedals and I don’t care a whole lot for the standard wheel, which has always been just enough to put me off buying it that little bit. Take the T500 mechanism, put a more all-purpose wheel on it and shave off some cost for the pedals I won’t use, and we could definitely be talking serious consumer interest here.

Should be able to make modular purchases.

Totally agree. I bought a T500 but don’t use the pedals. If I could have bought the wheel only, I would have.

I would buy the tx base a 458 gte rim the 8 speed shifter and some clubsport pedals… alas buying as is, is far to much for what I want so I will do a custom g27 job for far cheaper.

I thought only the Thrustmaster TX 458 is fitted with a brushless motor.
The T500 comes with a regular brushed motor (as far as i know).

299 pounds, which is more than what TX is going for now days.
