SRT - GTR Evolution Preview

The guys over at insidesimracing.tv had the chance to get a preview version of Simbin’s GTR Evolution and released the following preview video, showing Simbin’s newest title in action.
A little mistake seems to have slipped in though, to my knowledge GTR Evolution is no expansion pack for GTR2 owners but only RACE07 users.
I’m feeling convident in the game after seeing this, it looks good.
Sure, the arcade idea Extreme cars is not a very good idea, but then again, that might give SimBin the money to continue making sims. And if you don’t like those cars, well, leave them alone…

Yeah, I agree. This is to an extreme degree a promotion video. But hey, we get a good look at GTR Evo as they call it. That’s good enough for me. Though they speak of several new tracks. Nordschleife is the only new track as far as I can see - that is if you own both GTR2 and Race 07. But the cool thing about Evo is that it combines most or all of Race 07 with the cool stuff from GTR2 including dynamic weather and day/night (I HOPE!) and preferrably also functioning headlights.
So I agree with the video people: It combines the best of GTR2 and Race 07 and adds at least SOME more.
But saddly, many tracks and cars from gtr2 are missing. No Ferraris, No Porsches, No Lamborghinis, No Maseratis.
Well if it is promotion, which it indeed is for a bit, then why do they think it’s also a expansion for GTR2. Altough if it is also for GTR2, then that would be absolute heaven, all add-on cars from GTR2 and GTR Evo is just, stunning…
Actual working headlights ? 24 Hour Endurance possibility (Day/Night) ?
THOSE are essential factors for replacing GTR2, which I still have not seen/heard anything about. This was a nice video, but did’nt really add anything new for me…
They even left out talking about the more important pit-strategy and options - which are now partly useable in RACE’07
Hey WiZPER - is it you from DGTRS? Oh anyway, I am pretty sure car headlights will be rendered on the tracks - I saw it a video - well, might be the one above.
Not sure about the 24h-endurance thing at all. Don’t think so I must say, but don’t know.
I agree that pit-strategy options and endurance possibilites is necessary - along with some Ferraris, Lambo’s etc. - before I can upgrade totally from GTR2.
