Jessica, Darin & Shaun of Insidesimracing.tv have released a new episode of InsideSimRacing, providing us with a review of the Visionracer VR3 racing rig as well as the E-R-A-C SimBoots.
Furthermore, the guys take a closer look at iRacing and announce the winners of their previous contests. At the end of the show, a mysterious covered item can be seen, due to make an appearance in the next show.

I’m about 50% confident it’s the G27 under that blanket.

Mwah, I’m not sure if SRT is big enough to get such a big exclusive from Logitech. Well, we’ll see tomorow
Great show btw, love watching it!

Does that chick have any real function there, in that program?

I had to watch the episode for a second time to notice the wheel under the blanket. I was only looking at Jessica during the first viewing.

Hah, I have disabled all those stupid gizmos in iR’s “new” interface… they’re very annoying, old layout was much better.
I guess its those (simplish)yanks who wants always more glitter and colours everywhere…

Ever heard of the term “eye candy”

Yep, it’s often a requirement for hosts to be easy on the eyes.

Distraction.
Actually, one of my buddies who started racing in a 2nd league series over here this year, recently told a hostess/pit babe to literally GTFO of his starting bracket, she was so annoying and drawing lots of photographers who milled about totally ruining his concentration before the race.
And no, he’s not gay, he’s just a racer.

monitor distance on that rig is just friggin huge, especially with that tiny ass monitor they used…
every rig needs to have adjustable monitor distance imo.
I dont have a racing rig but just a desk with a 32″ lcd tv which I can put in any distance I want

That’s not necessary mate.
And FYI, the guy who runs this site is German.
Leave your ethnic stereotypes at home.

I just find myself laughing at how nerdy the show is lol

It gets obsessive really, presenting and re-presenting all available rigs and steering wheels on the market.

Uh, you’re watching the show and posting about it at a sim racing blog. How does that make you cool and Shaun and Darin nerds?

And here I was thinking nerdy is the new cool
. Still entertaining tho, and I wouldnt mind that rig if someone offered it to me!
To be fair I’m guessing most people even on this site probably wouldnt really consider a $1500 rig as a sound investment so its definitely on the hardcore (or nerdy as that guy put it) side. As for those simboots……yep very nerdy

Yeah I’m not much for a $1500 rig, but that’s because I can’t afford it. Now if I had the money? Sign me up.

I noticed that too. This episode was one product placement after another. They’re getting especially chummy with iracing. I hope it doesn’t affect their objectivity.

hey i find the show entertaining. they are doing it out of their free time i assume. so we gotta support them hopefully to make improvements.

well considering it’s what both Shaun and Darin Play now…I wouldn’t besurprised, Id like for them to focus more on mods and software, and less on testing every piece of hardware in existence..

It’s great that even have a show like that!
But it would be nice if they could move back to be more simracing oriented.
Tech tips have been my favorite, hope that they would do more of that kind!

I miss their Project Simracer/Simracing 101 (can’t remember how it was called). Every little bit helps: as a simracer I’m a basket case it seems, racing since 2003 and still hopeless.
