So many prams without any toys round here.

This whole story has to make you laugh, surely a cursory glance at the credit lists (or even MobyGames) will very quickly show where the ‘talent’ is.

So far as Blimey/SMS not releasing anything for a while, well neither have Polyphony Digital, but still the biggest game on everyone’s lips & the game to beat is GT5 – even though not many (if anyone) have seen the game beyond the rather bland DEMO.

Finally if it is the same lot who gave us the superb GTR (etc), then why is the latest release (Race360) so bad, achieving a distinctly average score (70 metacritic – reviews as bad as 50% by games) in official reviews, across all the areas which made the original games great. I’m sure we will all learn the truth whenever this ‘Shift’ game is released.

I’m not sure I see any significant changes? GTR 2′s moved to the top of the list and a piece of text has been moved.

Details of the split have always been hush-hush, but it’s becoming apparent that Blimey Games were actually the sole developers of GTR 2. So I’m not sure what either party are really getting at here. SMS are surely well within their rights to claim that their team created the game? Why is this an issue all of a sudden?

You doubt they want a fight… That’s probably why they sent a lawyer to Virtualr.net because they did not like one user posted comment. (which is stupid because Virtualr cannot be responsible for user posted comments)

It’s not the fact that they change the text on the website, it’s more about the fact that Ian Bell claims that there’s nothing false on it and that SimBin’s lying, but changes it asap so that it’s reflects more the truth.

What do we care, well, it’s publically announced, so I guess we can comment on it, right?

Actually, now I think about. Why do we all care? Let them sort it out themselves. If SMS have changed their site to reflect SimBin’s demands then SimBin should be happy. Maybe if they BOTH stop playing childish bitch fighting and got back to work then everyone can be happy.

Can you blame them for trying to make SimBin happy, I doubt they want a fight, they are probably more interested in making videogames.

I still don’t understand what the legal action would be. In the statement SimBin are upset over (the one from the EA press release), it says, “Slightly Mad Studios includes developers and designers that worked on the critically acclaimed games GT Legends and GTR 2.” Which every one agrees, is true. So… what are they taking legal action over?

I think it’s funny that SimBim choose now to mention all this when Blimey and Slightly Mad have been saying the same thing for years. It’s almost as though there is a game coming out this month by Simbim… coincidence?
