Simbin Keeps GT2/GTL Lobby Servers Online

The bankruptcy of German publisher 10Tacle Studios had a very negative effect on the GTR2 and GT Legends online communities as the Lobby servers were shut down all of a sudden following the company’s demise.

Now, the servers are back up thanks to Simbin and their partner KGN. Simbin has taken up their responsibility as developer of the GTR series, making sure that players can keep on enjoying their online fun.

“We want to make sure that our fans can continue to enjoy our games on line and we are very happy that we could find a fast and positive solution together with KGN” said Henrik Roos, SimBin CEO. “It is of course sad to hear that our former partner has ended up in this situation”

10Tacle Studios were responsible for hosting the lobby servers before, being the publishers of the GTR series in many countries. Last week, the Germany-based company announced to file bankruptcy, leaving an empty spot in the sim racing community.

Don’t play these games anymore. But its great that a developer would do this considering it wasn’t part of the deal when the games were being developed.
