hm, ya can’t really tell from these screens what it would look like in game (graphics wise) but they don’t look as good as the earlier shots of the Zonda and the Ferrari, maybe this is another title and not GTR3, either way what is certain is they have no chance in hell competing with AC PCARS and RF2 if they release it too late

Must be the F2P title then, still looks quite nice if so. The track looks interesting with the Mountains etc

 Honestly, the screenshots look like photoshopped gMotor2. Compare with SimBin’s teasers for GTR Evo, Race 07 addons etc… I see no big difference.

Graphic looks good enough for me, as long as it drives and sound good, this game have a lot of chances for people interested in every aspect of a simulation, not only graphic.

 Those were not “screenshots”, they were called something like “art screen” or similar, just to let people know they were edited.
It would be pretty stupid from SimBin (or any other game developer) to publish screens as unedited just to be proven wrong once the game will be released. I mean: are these screens really so incredible? They “just” show the same effects we have seen in many other games (I think about Assetto Corsa’s screens).

Please don’t take my message as an attempt to say that these screens are bad (just the opposite: I love them!): I was pointing out that the team is now using those post-fx we already saw in other games. :-)

Off topic, I wonder how much sucess Race Pro would have got if were also released for PC instead of Race Series.

The lizard powered game would look way better on PC, people would be  modding the hell out of it still today. And would also make waiting for GTR 3 less painfull. 

Anyway, AC is coming, rf2 on release will be vastly improved,i’ll be getting both, but Simbin will always remain my favorite sim racing dev. GTR 3 will be my main sim for sure, just like GTR2/EVO.

Simbin’s style is unmatchable.

No offense as well, I really think this is edited too whether it is a screenshot or not. Cause simply speaking they haven’t started showing some details on what the new RaceRoom/GTR3 would really be, screenshots/Art Screen isn’t really enough to get the majority convinced. Also why isn’t that GTR3 and RaceRoom’s screenshot looks the same yet they shouldn’t be? Weird…

Like I said they’ve been using the same technique to promote RACE07 up to Race Injection whereas in-game it doesn’t even look that way… no motion blur, static reflections, no fresnel shaders, but yes the RACE07 up to Race Injection did have some improvements but not as far as what iRacing did.

Simbin was always working on additional content which makes everyone grateful that they do, but they should have focused on improving the game’s visual impact. If iRacing did so they should have it too. But they just focused on quantity and not much on quality of the visual.

The functionality of RACE07 up to Race Injection especially the motion simulator is outstanding and I hope GTR3 will feature the same, one “bad” move though… they shouldn’t have announced that the game will be available this 2012 cause from the looks of it, it wouldn’t be this year since they haven’t even revealed their plans, features, full contents, etc.

This is just my opinion on the current state of GTR3′s future, and I hope it will be as successful as GTR2 did, since GTR2 is still much more famous than its successors even up to today. No offense but SMS co-developed GTR2/GTL – so I hope they can get SMS to work with them once again for GTR3.

Why not? Test Drive: Ferrari Legends was developed by SMS despite working on pCars…

If those screens really are untouched material, then the filter is still kinda faulty on some spots AND looks like Photoshop on other spots at the same time.

Around the spoiler in the fourth screenshot you can still see tiny bits of the sharp background (looks like rushed photoshop blur around the car without properly masking it) while on the fence above the car there’s a crystal clear edge of the blur filter (which looks more like the real thing, but not optimised I’d say).

I’m not saying the screenshots are definitely edited, but they look this way from my understanding. No hating, just saying what I see.

I like the looks of this game more than what i see from Asetto, CARS or, obviusly, Rfactor 2. In overall terms, not talking of “brute force”, it gives me the best sensations close to close with AC.

GeneralRH,  2 wrongs don’t make a right.  If you name call after being name called, it doesn’t make it ok.  It makes you both in the wrong.
Even now you are still flaming about him in a post supposedly for me.

The reason I didn’t ‘clean up’ the posts above was not because its ok to name call but because I wanted it to be seen clearly why you were being warned.  I was on the fenced about deleting them but then you`d have a pop at me for that, no doubt.

Screenshots doesn’t tell much about a sim, it’s nice to have some but no one can tell **** until they actually try it.

I just downloaded a beta update for nkpro so I wouldn’t say it’s completed.   Sims nowadays are never completed.  ;)

LFS’s tyre physics if it ever sees the light of day might all be in vain.  I hope not though.
But the sim is so antiquated now imo that it’s had it’s peak no matter what they do with the tyres.    Crap sounds and graphics that are so basic by todays standards. 
And if LFS’s physics were that great to start with, why is it taking 2 years to essentially correct it ?

lol you should know that doing a realistic new tire model can take a lot more than 2 years. See iRacing…
LFS has still very good physics. Graphics are not that bad. Blackwood was converted to nKPRo and LFS version is still way better with nice shadows.
I agree sounds are poor but that can be improved.
And you would be surprised that there is still more people online in LFS than in many other recent titles… There is still a true LFS community. Yesterday for instance there was 1000 people racing online at the same time. At the time I am writing this there is 153 people on LFS forum yes at 5 o’clock in the morning! Whereas there is only 99 people on pCARS forum for instance.

 Please do. As to me “simulation” means that something tries to reproduce (simulate) a real world situation. Or probably you don’t understand where pCARS exactly is at the moment and that major physic improvements are in the work?

I am not negative, I dont mind screenshots from upcoming mods for ex.but posts like this… so Simbin shows 4 pics of some car, doesnt say why/for what it is and we are all supposed to go crazy and drool? I couldnt care less about these shots, pointless…
I want devs (not modders, devs) to give more proofs on how they advance with physics AND sounds.

I’ve always like LFS really, notwithstanding that it has the worst AI on the planet.
It’s just seemed dead to me as the last update for it was…..well, a long time ago.

Well you had (and still have) credibility to me but this statement about LFS just prove your ignorance toward this specific sim.. which tries to simulate instead of impress with candies. If it takes years to improve it, it is especially because they’re trying to nail it correctly instead of having canned effects and cutting corners.. of course I might be wrong but this is how I and many people sees it and this seem to be their philosophy since day one. A sim that’s in continous development since 10 years have of course downs and peaks.. let’s talk about it in two years when everyone will be anticipating pCars 3 (if you know what I mean). So when saying this sim is dead, after all this tremendous and unreleased work, has to be sort of insulting. I’m sure you understand this and this.

Anyway the most important is that we all enjoy our owns stuffs.. no matter what they are :)

 Well when I said it’s completed I meant Kunos said the version 1.3 was to be the final. I didn’t knew there was a new beta??  I share your thoughts about never completed programs.. and the only way to approach this apotheosis would be a sim in a never-ending development (aka iracing, LFS :P)
