Série Internationale Du Mans 2.77 – Released

The Carpe Noctem Design Group has released a new version of their semi-fictional Série Internationale Du Mans mod for rFactor that brings several LMPs and GTs to the simulation.

Version 2.77 comes with plenty of physic improvements in terms of suspension and lots of other details. Due to the fact that the physics have been majorly overhauled, existing setups will most likely not work anymore.

The public version of the mod contains 22 different cars in four classes, the full version of the mod is restricted to use in a handful of leagues due to permission issues.

    One of the best mods yet for rFactor. You’ve got to join a league to get all the cars. CSGT also just released the SportsCars70, “WSC70″ mod. Which will also put you in driving heaven. Did VirtualR miss it?

    I’m holding out for Endurance Series by EnduRacers… Given the fine job they did on the Epsilon Euskadi.. I’m more confident with them, plus I know it’ll be RealFeel compatible.

    There is a little problem with the force feedback. At least the way I have it.
    When the car is standing still, if the wheel isn’t dead center, the force pulls hard in the direction the wheels are pointing? Any one know the fix? I’m using ReelFeel.

    I have similar problems with ffb, plus it’s just not very strong/accurate/a bit numb.

    Aside from that, the rest of the mod is very nice. Although I’d have to agree with Hybridesque, a switch to a realfeel compatible mod may be imminent.

    You need to reverse the forces.

    Press Right Ctrl and 8 whilst the car is on track. For more info, see the readme files that came with RealFeel.

    Did you buy stronger FF in the upgrades section? It is plenty strong for me once I bough med.
    Thanks for the tip Hybridesque. I guess that is different then reversing the force on the in game control menu?! I’ll give it a try.

    I tried this mod before, but the sounds Wolferl made for the SCC mod got me hooked on that instead. I tried porting the SFX files over but that sounded like it required too much hacking to realign, so I gave up.

    Also the whole politics issue around this mod stinks, all because of the egotistical nature of some people out there, a bad mix for a free mod.

    I’m holding out for the Endurance Series by EnduRacers too.
