Sega Shuts Down Racing Studio

Sega’s UK-based Racing Studio division has been shut down by the company’s parent division, leaving over 60 staff members without a job.

The Sega Racing Studio had been established in 2005 to make an impact in the racing genre. Headed by former Codemasters man Guy Wilday, the studio released one game; Sega Rally for the XBOX 360 and the Playstation 3. The arcade game had not much to offer but pretty graphics and generated disappointing sales despite getting some favorably reviews.
