After quite a while I´ve sat down and took a few screenshots again. Taking the right mod, track and camera angle, rFactor does not even need much Photoshop to look spectacular good.
That’s why the following screenshots of the first ever US Grand Prix at Sebring have only been slightly edited.

Jessica, Darin & Shaun of InsideSimRacing.tv were recently joined by Image Space Incorporated's Gjon Camaj who visited the guys for an interview in an upcoming SRT episode. About a year ago, Team NLC announced a sucessor to their popular VLN 2005 mod for rFactor, planning to bring the 2009 season of Germany's popular racing series to the simulation. As promised, Codemasters have just released the first of their developer diary videos, introducing us to some of their staff and showing off first-ever moving footage of F1 2010 for the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Markus & Valiante have released their Formula One 1985 mod for rFactor, bringing one of the most spectacular F1 seasons to the simulation. Virtua_LM has released new previews of another stunning track creation for rFactor, showing us new shots of the Japanese Fuji Speedway in late 80s specification. Located near the famous Mount Fuji in Oyama, Japan, Fuji Speedway was opened in 1963. The track was a popular venue for sports car races as the track was part of the FIA World Sports Car Championship for Group C prototypes from 1982 to 1988. Even though the track was slowed down with two chicanes during the 80s, speeds on the track remained very high thanks to the 1.5 kilometer main straght - The longest in motorsports. [nggallery ...

PS – The first US Grand Prix was actually held at Sebring as the last race of the 1959 season. See link below:

I remember seeing a banner at Sebring showing all the years the 12hour race has run. I remembered it was only missed a few times. Talking to someone before the race this year I wanted to verify the years and when doing that I learned that F1 ran in 1959. I never knew that. It’s no surprise it didn’t last in the city. hahaha. Anyways, the 12h race has run from 1952 0 2008 and only missed 1974 due to the energy crisis. That is amazing.
