While their pricing model has been discussed rather controversial in the community, iRacing.com seems to be serious about their goal of bringing real and sim racing closer together. The company has just announced a partnership with the Sports Car Club of America, giving their members the chance to compete in the iRacing.com cup.

More than 5,000 licensed SCCA national racers across the Unided States are eligible to fight for $20,000 in cash and merchandise, including $3,000 and a professional-grade racing simulator for the winner. Drivers will utilise a virtual version of the SCCA’s most popular race car, the Spec Racer Ford. iRacing.com will build an accurate digital rendition of the car, making sure all real racers feel immediately comfortable in sim racing.

In addition to cash and merchandise prices, participating drivers will be able to score points accordance with the regular SCCA national points system. More info can be found on iRacing.com and SCCA.com
