Just gave the new car a drive , Its very good for what it is.

This game will be fantastic for converting casual racers into sim-racers , still need to try the game with the assists off but even with the assists that they have on it drives better than many other games on the market.

Blah, I hate this fantasy track, too many blind corners, can’t enjoy driving properly.

Once you learn it (which took awhile for me,) it’s a really fun, challenging and satisfying track.

Sound is gorgeous, nothing else to say.
Model is very nice to look at as well.

I seem to be one of the few that is a bit skeptical of the game. It seems like it has a good base but it’s pretty hard for me to tell what the car is doing. The steering feels like it is laggy and “floaty”. I don’t feel any connection to the cars. I hope this will change because the sounds are fantastic and I really like that it will have hillclimbs.

I kind of felt the same way initially about the lack of feel for the car. But once I drove for about an hour that feeling went away for me and instead i got a really satisfying feel of control and that the car is moving around but you can very much control it.

There is a little bit of “lag” but when you are used to it it feels “organic” and like the car is reacting quickly but the suspension and tires takes a small amount of time to transmit the wheel input to the ground.

I think this will feel more direct with the “Get Real” mode, now you are not in full control of the car.

    Nice car, I like it.

Strange the leader-board is not available for new track?…

I think for the Saleen you can only see your position while on track (hit ESC -> Session Settings -> make sure “Session Best” is showing) then you’ll get the live leaderboard at the top of the screen. Your times and position won’t show up in the main menu though.

    Thanks :)

Am now having a lot of fun with this. Seems to build nicely on SimBin’s previous titles.

    You’re welcome.

Still had no time to load the demo. But it sounds even better that there is a new car available. Will try it soon, better convinced that SimBin does a good job here.

What wheel are you using? I’m using the fanatec gt3rs and perhaps I just need to fiddle with the settings. I have tried some changes that have helped a bit but the cars still feel disconnected to me. Hoping I can get it to feel right?

so the situation is as follows: SMS are in the lead in the graphics, ISI in physics/ffb, and simbin in audio :)

  • Anonymous

SMS maybe car models, certainly not graphics.

  • Kendra Jacobs

Although for some strange reason the graphics of some other sims immerse and trick my mind into thinking I am actually there in the game more so than pcars’ graphics do, I have to agree with Gniewko, pcars are BY FAR the best in graphics, BY FAR.

  • Lemming77

Bit of an oversimplification, isn’t it?
