Uzzi has released a new preview video, showing a lap on his Road Atlanta 2007 for rFactor project. Since the last preview, plenty of things have changed as Uzzi has added textures by SLN and new track objects made by Thunder Child and The Lonely. Furthermore, cameras, night lights, track surface and AIW have been takeren care of as the track nears release.
Located outside of Braselton, Gergorgia, Road Atlanta is a major United States road course, most famous for its sweeping downhill esses section. The track is home to the American Le Mans Series Petit Le Mans sportscar race held each fall.

I’ve forgotten the details, is this a completely new mesh? Seems like everything that was a mess in the old SCGT mesh that has been passed down for 10 years is gone, and this version looks very good. Looking forward to it. I hope a conversion to GTR2/GTREvo is authorised…I’d love to drive the PnG cars here.

Yes, it is a new mesh. Uzzi used GPS data to improve the layout and elevations. This track is relatively close to me and I go there every year for the 10 hour race so I can’t wait to get the final version of this track. This track is a blast to drive too.

Just to be clear my and SLNs involvement is limited. We updated the track over a year ago for our league and we passed all the updates over to Uzzi to use if he wishes.

I’ve tried the previous Beta and it’s so good to drive. Can’t wait for the final version. Was the problem with 24h skies resolved?
