  • RedSun

I have Windows 7 Ultimate (x86) and program no run. I try click as Administrator and still not working, wtf? :sd:

  • driving god

Nice. Would have been even nicer if Monaco 2006 was released as well, though.

  • Redhawk

    This is absolute genius CTDP!!

So, so customisable – absolutely brilliant tool – the best tool for rF ever!

Iam going to have so much funning playing with this :D

  • Pain-less

Very nice tool. Lots of information, it’s almost info over load. But sadly it consumes too many fps from rFactor and my ageing PC. One downside is when going to race rFactor just freezes for about 30 seconds waiting for this to load in. Also could be my old PC :) I will definitely keep it handy for a new PC down the road.

Amazing! I’ve been waiting for something like that for years!

    Happy Birthday CTDP!

for me it works fine, though im running win7 64bit.
this tool is just perfect, now i can see the usage of my brakes and engine.

but it would be nice to keep this informations on my second screen, thats the only thing im missing :)

  • erazor

works fine on Win7 64 bit.

  • AndreasT

@RedSun: what exactly do you mean by “I try click as Admin”? Do you mean the editor launcher? For more specific support please head over to http://devblog.ctdp.net/?p=1800 where Marvin can try to answer your questions.

The plugin has extensively been tested on Win7 64bit. I don’t run the editor as admin, only rfactor itself. However, I haven’t installed it in c:\programn files\… but in a different partition.

  • RedSun

Hmm, great, my TV Style no working. This is awesome utility, i run run this and tv style no work. After unistal rfDynHud TV Style still no work. Great Jonb CTDP, i must reinstal rFactor

  • AndreasT

No you need not!!! You only need to replace the d3d9.dll. rfDynHUD and TV style plugin both use a different one. Simply copy the dll from TV style over that of the DynHUD and everything should be ok again!

  • RedSun

I reinstall TV Style and now working but i will not use rfDynHud.

  • kevmscotland

    Really nice tool guys,
The amount of information it relays is staggering.

My only real issue is the presentation, but I assume this is a tool that others can now build apon to create a proper TV style appearance.

It adds so much potential when you look at some of the new features youve created, such as the garage screens etc.

    Well done.

  • AndreasT

I think by changing fonts, font size and colors you can already make it better suit your liking. You can also paint your own revmeter image or take one of those provided with the plugin. However, I admit you will need to spend some time until you get the most out it.

  • Dahie

That’s the point, we tested the tool for some time now and it’s at a stage where we need public input. Be it for new features, for problems, for styling, handling. This version works and already offers alot of widgets and it’s now time to see what widgets work and which need refinement. See what widgets are missing and what we can do to improve it.

I would think you need to install Java too
1st I thought it was an incredeble news… but Java is too heavy for gaming… it really takes too much resources this should have been made in C like all other plugins

  • stabiz

I really like this tool. Thanks!

  • stabiz

Scratch that, I had to uninstall. While customizing I didnt notice that it overrides the custom controller ini settings. I use different ingame wheel rotation settings depending on mod, and with this tool it seems to go back to default. Or am i missing something?

  • sigmatc24

This is a very useful tool. Thanks very much.

I like so much the Tire wear Widget, and Tire temperature Widget. Very useful to tweak tire temperature and watch for your In-Race driving style.

    Thanks again :sd:

  • AndreasT

@stabiz: Not sure if I really understand your problem. In fact there are some keys used by the plugin by default that can be customized in the editor with the inputbindingsmanager (under tools). However I cannot see how the plugin would affect wheel rotation settings. Please leave a note in the CTDP devblog if you find the time. Feedback is always appreciated! THX

  • stabiz

    Ok, will do.

  • greyfox485

Wonderful tool, only thing I think it’s missing is ride height. I don’t know if it’s possible or not, but that would completely eliminate my need for using a third party telemetry tool.

Yes it would be wonderfull. So please answer about the possibility to add ride height to this wonderfull tool

Yes it would be great. So please answer about the possibility to add ride height to this wonderful tool

  • AndreasT

Adding ride height will require another widget. I can propose this to the chief programmer, but I cannot promise anything atm.

  • x_the

It seems that this tool doesn’t work in replay. How can I use this tool in replay? What about the feature of TV overlay, how to set this function up?

  • am263

First of all, thank you for this very useful tool. I have a doubt. When looking at the Tire wear/grip widget, what exactly do the numbers represent? Tire wear, tire grip or both? I can see there are two kinds of information there (bigger and smaller percentage) but when testing this tool with EOAA GT, after some laps I had the bigger value around 90% while the smaller number was still in 100% and that made me confused. Thanks again.

Thanks very much for your notice. We hope it will be possible.

Win7 32bit no runing this HUD

Another vote for this! Also is there a way to change from metric to imperial?

  • AndreasT

    @vendsale:
Currently this feature is not available. I have added it to the list of requested features. We’ll see what happens.

    @Hanjin:
I’ve been told that the plugin was successfully tested on 32bit Win7, so it can’t be a general OS issue. Do you have a recent java version installed? Anything useful in the dynhud logfile?

  • DazzyB

Many congratulations on an amazing utility. I’ve been waiting for something like this for ages.

Works fine for me using Win7 64 – just make sure you get the relevant Java first. Everything is stable and no FPS issues at all for me.

    I only have 2 comments…

    1. It would be great if you could specify different fonts for each widget. Currently some of them are inked so if you change the font on one it also affects some of the others.

    2. I would LOVE to see a deltagraph widget similar to Alekhine’s Motec Add util (or the ability to run both together) I find this invaluable for learning tracks and improving laptimes in testing but it’s a pain changing between the two mods. Unfortunately this may stop me from using rfDynHud as a permanent replacement.

Even without these rfDynHud is the best telemetry/timing/hud mod available.

    Fantastic work guys

  • AndreasT

Thanks DazzyB. Concerning the fonts you can in fact set a certain number of standard fonts, but in the font selector you can also choose in the pull-down menu below “Named Font Selection”. Then you can assign any font without affecting other widgets.

Concerning the deltagraph widget I don’t know anything about it and cannot say if this can be realized soon, but maybe – if you don’t mind – you could go over to the CTDP forum and post your wish.

  • DazzyB

Thanks, i’ll play around with the fonts a bit more

Also if i set the standings widget to ‘ABSOLUTE_TIME’ it doesn’t stick and simply defaults back to ‘RELATIVE TO ME’

  • cmfbento

Amzing tool . very userful. thanks

  • jbro12336

    Hey,
Kind of a general question here: is there a way to develop your own widgets for the HUD editor? For example, is it possible to write my own code and implement for something like a money counter, collision counter, or score keeper? Any answers, suggestions, or help of any kind would be greatly appreciated. Also, this is a great add-on, and it is definitely the best of its kind!

I installed rfdynhud 1.3 on my laptop win7 32bit, but it doesn’t work for me, when i want to go practice offline or online it seems like is loading the circuit (as normal) and when finally finishes loading i see my car but none hud and five seconds later rfactor closes and sends me out to the desktop without any error message or sth.

How can i solve this problem?
