A server upgrade is happening over at the rFactor headqauters, resulting in unavailability of the racecast and matchmaker services within the next 24-72 hours.
So if you notice any outages or less players online, don’t worry, all will be back to normal shape very soon.

Everyone always says RaceCast is dead yet now there is a report of downtime. For the life of me I can’t get my servers to show on the RaceCast page. I know it is still live because you can see other active servers on the list. I guess I will give it another shot. I would love to see people more people use RaceCast. It seams like such a cool system to go to waste.
For those that may not know what RaceCast is (most don’t) you can see it here:

The outage didn’t last too long… it delayed our league’s VHR race at Phoenix by a bit, but Matchmaker was up and down all night. It happens.

@ ermax – RaceCast has been dead for months, our server (SROL) is still showing us as running the Historic Touring Cars. Our races at Brands Hatch actually took place in July!!
They have no intention of fixing RaceCast either.

steviejb: Cool. I noticed some newer mods on there so I just assumed it was still updating. They should just take the site down to save some resources and avoid confusion. I built my own web-based timing and scoring / hotlap system for my server that works better then RaceCast anyways. :)
