rFactor Oran Park – Reality Check

ChrisL999999 has put together an impressive video, comparing the recently released laser-scanned Oran Park track for rFactor with real-life footage.

His video does not just compare on-board footage but fully recreates a lap of V8 Supercar racing on the Australian track. The well put-together video even features commentary, adding to the atmosphere. The HD video can be watched below, make sure to turn on full-screen mode.

Very nice job. Aren’t the real cars bouncing much more then rFactor? Does the real track have more bumps? The real ones also seem more sure footed. Locking up the front breaks that much in rFactor isn’t possible to control, in my experience? Also think the rFactor cars were sliding in the rear more.
These kind of vids really help judge realism.

That just raises the question why you didn’t bother to use the Report News feature after seeing such an excellent vid

Btw, I think you´re confusing something, the video was first spotted by VirtualR reader GeraArg when it only had a couple of views. So unless it was uploaded somewhere else before, it isn’t old at all….

You are thinking of the cockpit only comparison. This is a newer video that is much cooler then the original one Chris did.

Fuji Speedway by Virtua_LM 1.0 – Released

Reiza Studios Announce Formula Armaroli for rFactor

Now, the studio has revealed their first project, announcing the Formula Armaroli race car for rFactor.
