There are some liveries on them fine cars that are true to my heart. Nice to see that they have the RAFBF on them:)

    • Tim Wheatley

Glad you like that. Had to get Honda approval and RAFBF approval, it’s quite cool of them both to have agreed to let me do this.

  • Adrian Herrera

Sorry for stupid question… Is there going to be a version with the steering wheel on the left side, or as Jezza would say.. the wrong side..?

    • Tim Wheatley

No, it’s a British Touring Car.

      • Adrian Herrera

Thanks for the answer Tim. Keep up the good work, have a happy new year.

  • Matt Orr

I wonder if you can knock the mirrors off.

  • Michael Hornbuckle

FWD and RHD…..ewwwww no thanks…When is the Cobra being released?

    • Realkman666

When you learn to drive that one, you can have a more challenging car.

      • Michael Hornbuckle

If that’s the case I’ll just skip it and drive a Ferrari or two in AC.

      • Realkman666

Great, time trials are the ideal way to improve.

      • speed1

Do that it is sure the better choice for all ya loving one hand driving.

      • Michael Hornbuckle

How crazy that somebody might prefer a Ferrari to a Honda; how weird is that?
At least with FWD you shouldn’t need both hands to keep from spinning out leaving the pits.

If you can’t tell, my New Years resolution is to lower myself down to the same level of idocracy of the person responding to my posts.

      • speed1

Just to bad that even the so powerfull ferrari is driveable all over the place one handed while glueing on asphalt. But hey you are right, lets don’t start the new year with a ego battle. Happy new year man and have fun with whatever you like. Cheers !

    • Tom Coombs

I know man, you don’t want to go and get Right Hand Drive cooties! You gigantic baby.

      • Michael Hornbuckle

I’m a baby that is afraid of cooties because I don’t care for RHD. SMDH

    • Tim Wheatley

As a BTCC car, it has the wheel on the side it actually exists. It’s also 330hp and has quite a high CG, so it’s disappointing you write it off at this point. But I guess it is something I am getting used to.

      • Michael Hornbuckle

I’m old and don’t care for FWD on a race track…It’s good that you put the wheel on the side of the car it is on in real life but again, if it was a v8 Supercar I would deal with it but it isn’t.
I’m sorry you made a car that doesn’t excite me in any way but I am still looking forward to the Cobra. Good thing for you is it seems I am in the minority here.
Sorry I expressed my personal opinion on the type of car I like, I’ll try not to let it happen again.

      • Tim Wheatley

Would you be able to tell me what handling characteristic you are looking for?

Apologies, I had difficulty interpreting your initial post as a simply lack of interest.

      • Michael Hornbuckle

Don’t worry, ya’ll get the Cobra right I’ll be extending my membership…ETA by any chance?

    • Anonymous

Hmmmm? TCC cars are just part of the bigger scope of things and personally I love em. I like the fact we are also seeing more historic Touring Cars

  • Anonymous

    Cant wait for new update.
rF2 graphics look real good on those screenshots.

  • Tom Coombs

Wow, is the side the steering wheel is on that important? I can drive anything LHD despite living in the UK. It’s not bad at all, geez.

    • bduddy

Same here, and I’m in the US, where only delivery people have RHD… takes me about 30 seconds to get used to it when I get a RHD car in a sim…

Looks really great. ISI has definitively made big steps in graphics department.

  • Anonymous

Hmmm I’ll be curious to see how it drives

  • Anonymous

Hoping to see some shots of the cockpit, why don’t they show us some cockpit & dashboards. maybe to dark inside.
    Nice work anyway ISI.

    • Tim Wheatley

Just didn’t do any. Although honestly with the low sun used to get the more dramatic shots people seem to want, the cockpit would be pretty dark, yes.

Quote “Shadows tend to be dramatic with low sun levels, which is what people tend to want out of screenshots based on Feedback here” End of Quote.

What feedback here?, personally I would like to see shots of rfactor 2 at various times of the day, rather than the same times a news or preview is announced, we’ve seen interior shots of the Panoz would love to see interior shots of the Honda at various times of the day.

The best rFactor 2 track gfx ain’t much different to Assetto’s these days. They are getting better build by build.. Assetto’s car interiors though are a notch above rF2’s in most cases. Should be interesting to compare both sims when ISI get the lighting sorted. Keep it up both of you, 2 great sims is better than one.

      • Tim Wheatley

Previous news items, where noon shots are evidence of how ‘lifeless’ rF2 looks. It doesn’t tend to matter to many how many different times of day other shots are included, 1 screenshot is all it takes to judge everything about a product. And yes, I’m getting a bit jaded.

I’ll keep in-mind your request and feedback though, I just didn’t do it. The view when driving is pretty much the one seen in the screenshot, when realistic FOV is used. Didn’t think to pan around.

  • Professional Operator

Looking good. Finally rFactor 2 has next gen graphics.

They could reduce shadows, they looks a bit too drammatic
or they could make it optional so everyone can decide the darkness.
    Very good anyway.

    • Jorge Araujo

rFactor 2 and next gen gfx in the same sentence: ROFL LMAO

Even Gran Turismo 4 running on PCSX2 looks leaps and bounds better than that.

    • Tim Wheatley

Shadows tend to be dramatic with low sun levels, which is what people tend to want out of screenshots based on Feedback here. Noon is boring. Although with low sun, the first thing pointed out is that low sun creates shadows, or how dark things are.

Also, these were taken with Build 342.

    • Gulyás Tamás

Next gen graphics ? Take a look at tracks.
      They are aweful to me.
The etalon is iR here ! Fantastic, clean, detailed tracks …

    Good the news!
    ISI,come on,joyous already your fans!

  • tomolart

Just give it to us already!!

  • UnitedKingdomRacing

Great looking cars. Only the numbers are the wrong font.

  • Andy Thompson

Can we just see what it will look like at midday lighting, then we can compare to other sims. Yes rF2 looks better at 6pm, but it makes them a tad bias.

    • pay2021

Please! ALL shots from rf2 are at sunrise or with rain! Why?

Still it have some red dominant and is subpar with AC, pCars or GT.

  • pay2021
