rFactor 2 – Marussia MR01 Released

Image Space Incorporated has released the Marussia MR01 Formula One car for rFactor 2.

The car is part of  a new series mod ISI is working on that will also include the Silverstone track as well as some other generic Formula One cars for the Marussia  to race against.

Templates for the car will be available next week.

The Cosworth-powered car was Marussia’s weapon of choice for the 2012 Formula One Championship season, driven by Timo Glock & Charles Pic.

How interesting, I was really hankering for some action around Albert Park.

This looks like it could be good fun, downloading now!

Fun , but with with same ol same ol sounds

I can’t find it. After installation there isn’t a place with “Marussia” on it. I also tried all cars and tracks. Is there a secret handshake?

  • Anslem

it’s not a “mod” it’s a “component”. So go to manage mod and click on “component” once you download it. I put it in most of the folders because not sure which specific one to put but I got it to work :).

Its also under Formula ISI section in the car list.

I got it. It was under “Formula ISI” and I assumed that was a different thing. I was looking for “Marussia”.
I did a quick session at Melbourne. A field full of Marussias… I felt like I was in a Bernie Ecclestrone nightmare.

Just had a quick go in the wet, my god is it hard work to keep it on the track

  • http://www.facebook.com/ptodd2 Paul Todd

Just wondering. I went out on wet tires and it wont handle for beans but I can go out on slick tires and it handles fantastic in the wet. Is this just my problem or is it a bug

Everything you download goes into the Packages directory.

Wet track isnt wet for a bit at the beginning of a session. Like the rain only actually starts when the session does. And yes, it is our problem, not yours.

Been away from rfactor2 for a while but after the latest build i am now enjoying racing with it, my excessive FFB rattle with earlier builds for my 430 has now gone..

The Marussia is great fun good handling and the best onboard graphics so far in game, great wheel and rev counter (turned off in-game skeleton hands)…hats off ISI more tracks and Mods soon please :)

The throttle seems stuck. It accelerates by itself, but it doesn’t go forward. Other cars are fine. I don’t know what causes that; settings are working for other cars.
Now I deleted it, but I can’t install again. Help?

  • Clutch Norris

Install lastest build. Your game is not up to date.

Back @rF2 for a while. What a great mod. Adjusting the throttle sensitivity was key for me. Still think rF2 is the best in FFB and tirephysics.

The hands look a bit more convincing in this car.It almost looks like the driver is actually holding the steering wheel. Good physics as always, just wish the graphics were a tad better.

Is the rattle for the Logitech G25 also gone? Tried the original rf2 beta, that was what ruined it for me…

It’s been gone since we introduced filtering for the wheels that need it, about this time last year.

  • blockhead

Yeah, looks like the body paneling is one solid piece with just a texture rendering the seams. Or not?

  • Henk Ensing

Tim, thanks for the reply. Sounds like time for a re-install then!
