rFactor 2 – Lime Rock Park Released

Image Space Incorporated has released an individual version of their Lime Rock Park track for rFactor 2.

Starting with the last build, ISI has started de-bundling the content releases from the development builds, allowing rFactor 2 owners to download tracks and cars as they please.

Lime Rock park was released as part of the Skip Barber School mod before, now everyone can grab just the track below.

For online use you’ll still need a .rfmod

I don’t thik so mate or at least I hope you are not right.
If you have the content insatlled press Get Mod and you are ready to go.

  • MJP

Yes you’ll still need a .rfmod for online, what do you think the ‘Get Mod’ feature does.

honestly, the system is showing a bit more potential now.

    1) get the tracks and cars you want

    2) jump online, try to enter a server you like the look of.

    3) get mod will download the vmod automatically for you.

    4) If you are missing content, it will tell you exactly what you are missing in the mod manager, including version numbers, etc. Maybe in the future it will have download links, too, who knows?

    5) go get your missing content,

How is that any harder than rf1?

  • MJP

It’s exactly the same as the one that came with the Skippy mod

  • Mrslfrsl

It provides you a vmod file. Two single components linked together that’s all I thought. Why would you need a rfmod for that?

    lol getting confused now myself

  • MJP

A ‘vmod’ is a rfmod, it just doesn’t have any additional content bar the RFM and ingame icons (assuming the vmod maker even bothers with the icons).

Yeah, thought so – otherwise it would give mismatches too. So basicly they are just hosting files we allready have :)
