OK, OK, I know it’s still in beta, but the wait for the mirror fix has been painful to say the least. Finally it’s here and I can resume action in some of my favorite cars in the whole of sim racing. I really have to say that rFactor2 is coming along pretty nicely, albeit at glacial pace. Impressive, most impressive.

Perhaps you need to uninstall the original mod first?

The cars are much scarier to drive now!! Like trying to tame a wild horse. Not sure if the real ones were that skittish, but they’re certainly lively!

Can’t say anything about this Rf2 yet, but i know GPL had a real big learning curve. First impression was like driving on teflon.

…and it only took a year. How’s that for service!

I am a great fan of rFactor but I must say that the install methods are just plain stupid.

But GPL’s physics were way off.
And so far, apart from the Clio and maybe the Corvette, I’m not getting along with any of the “stock” cars physics. Either that or there’s an idea that every track has to be green and slippy as hell.
Sorry but I don’t want to have to rubber in every new track I install.

Sad to say but rF2, so far, is the sim I’m having the least fun with.

As a noob, I have to agree. I know there’s a reason for all that, but boy is it weird.
