rFactor 2 – First AC Cobra Preview

Image Space Incorporated has released a first preview of the next licensed car to join their rFactor 2 simulation – The AC Cobra 427.

The render below shows off the car model including a peek at the interior model.

Build between 1962 ad 1968, the AC Cobra 427 is one of the most iconic road-legal sports cars ever build.

Hopefully they will do the 289 as well, it’s the better driver.

This one in ISI quality is gonna be awesome! Most anticipated rF2 car so far on my part.

“ISI quality” – Generally ISI stock content is not that good. Like RF1 , RF2’s success will be largely dependent on mods.

You can still have fun with the stock content in RF2 , its just always been the modders and separate developers that make the most of isi technology not ISI themselves.

The 3D model shown in the image looks good though.

Disagree. rFactor 2 stock content contains some of the best sim cars ever released.

        I agree with disagreeing! 🙂

I think the stock ISI stuff in rF2 is top notch! Especially the most recent cars like the Clio, F2 and Vette are excellent!

        Really looking forward to this!

Are you such a huge fan of Rhez or Hammer or Howston? Legendary, these cars, no more seen in rF2

Still bashing ISI ? It’s getting really old…

I said “its just always been the modders and separate developers that make the most of isi technology”

How can you then write “He doesn’t seem to understand that it’s ISI that created the engine that modders” ?

What you wrote makes no sense , Its as if you didn’t even read my comment , given that my comment explicitly shows that I know and am saying that other developers use ISI technology and use it well.

In the end your comment adds nothing to the conversation and is simply a personal attack.

🙂 I knew you would reply to my comment, and not the others, and yes correct, I didn’t read all your post, just the first paragraph, because I knew it was another dig at ISI.

Can’t wait for this one! Everything released since the Clio is the pure sim driving awesomenes IMO.

I used to concentrate on two max three cars but now I am generally spoilt with the amount of good cars, don’t know what to drive anymore.

I think this is the car that will get me to buy rF2. Not that the others are not attractive – I just didn’t want to buy a beta, and was waiting for “gold”. But since ISI now seem to be saying its going to be beta for a long time, the Cobra seems just the incentive I need to take the plunge. Just hope the force feedback with my “obsolete” G25 isn’t too bad.

It’s not technically in beta. According to ISI the game is released and subject to long term ongoing development. Make of that what you will.

They still need to fix some bugs that have been in the game for over a year, though.

I have the Logitech G27 and I can tell you that the ffb with rF2 is fantastic!1!
