Retrospective – How Far We´ve Come

A topic about the possible oldest racing sim at the NoGrip foums inspired me to dig YouTube for some old computer racing material. I´ve picked three classical games, maybe these clips will bring up some memories for some of you.

Looking at these clips made me reaslise that we´ve become way too picky about things like graphics and such. Even though these games were much simpler than today’s sims, they still were a great deal of fun and enyoment for most people. And sometimes we forget to just enjoy what we have these days…

I love this WIP, can’t wait for the release !!!!!

More seriously, it reminds me the hours spent on GP2.. Snif, it seems such a long time ago!!!!

Thanks you for that step in the past.

PS : GP2 has really been in step in F1 sim, don’t you think ?

Oh yes definately. I still remember waiting for it to be released, it was just a painful long wait.

But in the end, it exceeded all my expectations.
