Renovatio SRD 9C G25 Kit – Now Available

Renovatio Development has launched a new product in their range of sim racing displays – The SRD-9C wheel mounting kit.

The kit allows the company’s SRD-9C data display to be safely mounted to a steering wheel, coming with a new faceplate and a coiled wire to connect the display without interfering with the steering movement.

The first version available is made for Logitech’s G25, one of the most popular sim racing wheels around, more versions for Fanatec’s Clubsport & CSR wheels as well as Thrustmaster’s T500 RS will be coming up as well.

Existing owners of the SRD-9C can purchase the wheel mount kit for 24,90€, a bundle of both the display and wheel mount kit sells for 139€ here.

    Very neat and tidy :-)

I ordered mine on the 13th, and although it still says “Processing” I’m hopeful of it being here within 3-5 days :D

    • kenpat .

Don’t forget a review Paul. Could go on my birthday list.

      • Paul Thompson

Yeah I will do, I will take some photos etc, and find a forum to post it up on :D

Thanks Paul, I’ll look forward to that.

Well something really odd has happened with my order. As you know I placed my order on the 13th of February having seen this preview, I then had an update to my order saying the item I ordered was dispatched on the 17th of February. I used the DHL Express 3-5 Days option. Well today I come home from work to an email from Renovatio Development saying
        “Dear Customer,

thank you for choosing our products. The WMK-9C/G25 model availability,
        originally

planned for the 16/02/2014, is now confirmed for the 26/02/2014.

This delay was caused by the unavailability of some components from our
        suppliers.

You will receive a confirmation email after the product shipping.”
So either it’s an error, or the original email and confirmation of my order being sent was actually a lie, and the product wasn’t even sent to me.

Well it seems they have split my order, some of it is being sent and some won’t be. So no review on this good looking bit of kit for at least another week from the 26th :( shame as the website said it was in stock when I ordered it :(

      • kenpat .

That type of thing puts me off a product immediately. They could’ve sent you an email earlier explaining that there were some components missing so your order would be delayed. Bet they didn’t just take part of the money.

      • Paul Thompson

They took all £126 of the payment on the 13th, and as posted above it’s still not in stock despite the website saying it is. It is off putting when companies do this, but I’m hopeful it will all be resolved soon.

      • kenpat .

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Well I know it’s still early days yet, but I still seem to have a problem with my order. The actual dash was delivered at 10pm on Monday night. Due to a courier error, they claimed nobody was in at the time of delivery, but it seems that NO attempt was actually made to deliver it to my address, annoying, but it can happen. But as posted above Renovatio Development contacted me on the 24th to say say that they had split my order, and the mounting kit was being sent on the 26th (confirmed), which again I am happy with to a degree, my only annoyance has been that it’s still listed on there website as “in stock” which it isn’t (it’s also late on the 26th, and despite an email asking them if it’s been sent I have heard nothing). However I have tested the dash, but cannot mount it as of yet, so can’t really offer up an opinion.

Hi Paul, can’t believe this thread has moved to page 3, it’s been a long wait for you. Any progress on the delivery front yet?

      • Paul Thompson

Yes Kenpat, I had my fitment kit turn up on Monday this week (3rd of March) some 20+ days after I ordered it, which is annoying, but fair enough. The unit works well with A.C & rFactor2, but for the love of me it will not work in LFS, and it took some messing with the software etc to get it to work with R3E (although I’ve yet to test that with tonights update), pCars is a no go though, I just cannot get that to work with it.

      • kenpat .

Glad to hear that it arrived safely. Look forward to hearing your impressions.

Looks neat. Possibly interested in the CSR version.

  • advion

Does anyone know if the G25 version fits on the G27 wheel. I thought they were nearly identical.

    • Anonymous

Nope.. they have slightly different positions of the holes.

Looks a bit bulky, compared to the small PCB board underneath.
Does not even feature some extra buttons, a welcome feature for a G25
