Reiza Studios Announce Formula Armaroli for rFactor

Back in December, a new simulation software studio opened its doors as Reiza Studios officially picked up business. Now, the studio has revealed their first project, announcing the Formula Armaroli race car for rFactor.

Made in co-operation with Armaroli Simulators, the Formula Armaroli car is a fictional open-wheel race car modelled after 80s Formula One machinery. The car weighs 540 kilos and is powered by a 650hp turbo engine, bringing some of the best action in Grand Prix history to the simulation.

Everybody will be able to try the studio’s first public project as the Formula Armaroli race car will be released as a free addon for rFactor in the near future. Until then, you can enjoy first renders of the car below.

Based in Brasil and founded by Renato Simioni and Fernando Oliveira Jr., Reiza Studios have managed to recruit some of the rFactor community’s most talented modders, including The Lonely, SLN, afborro and Niels_at_home.

Is this a standalone game or a mod

  • commodore

Free rF addon? You guys rock.

One idea. Maybe you could model a real F1 car exactly but name it differently and give it a fictional skin so that people could make a skin later that turns it into the real thing :P.

This sound extremly good for me!

In everything but name, that is a 1988 McLaren MP4/4…..
    Interesting.

It does indeed look a lot like an MP4/4 but some details are different.

The side fins on the front wing are smaller. The sidepod gaps are different. And it has a padding behind the drivers head.

    Looking forward to this one.

Looks stunning. I wish modern F1 cars looked like that.

and mp4/4 had a digital dash. the dash on the pictures looks like the one of the last evolution of mp4/2 & mp4/3

    nice looking forward to this.

nice one Simione and Reiza studio.

    Blimey!Phenomenal

very nice job , and i am delighted to hear is going to be released as addon.

  • Mr. A

Nice! Looking forward to try it!

Excellent Work, The best visuals of any mod i have ever seen for rfactor, im hoping the mod will be designed from the outset to work with reel feel and leo ffb, And of course it must have good sound, currently none of the mods available have good f1 turbo sounds, i really dislike the f1 1985 and 1988 sounds, as they fail to immerse you. Mod’s with immersive sound in my opinion are f1 1993 by f1 SR and f1 classics 1967, these are good standards for comparisson, as they give you a real sense of being there [though obviously they are not turbo engines]. Note the wind noise with 1967 mod, all mods should have this but people dont realise that the sounds you get on modern f1 cockpit cams, are from microphone’s deliberately shielded to cancel out the wind noise so you wont hear it on your video’s, however in real life it becomes very very loud with speed!. I’m taking it as read the physics will be good.

Anyhow there’s my wish list, and looking at your team, im sure its very achievable.

Best Wishes with your group and your mod works.
    Regards

    The Power

If you look at the credits, powerflower … I am pretty sure this will be real feel compatible.

    Looks good!

Real F1 drivers wear a helmet and earplugs, they only hear a muffled engine sound! :sd:

I’m just screwing around, I get your point. Wind sound does add up to the whole experience.

Model is looking good. Love the cockpit!

This is great news, and a great idea.

I presume ths shots are renders rather than in-game shots.

    Looking forward to this.

    Interesting.

they do look “a bit” similar but I would never believe I was driving the 1988 Mclaren even with the same skin. Interesting to see that they named the series after the sponsor and the car has some other interesting sponsor which is great! Maybe a new business model other modders can learn from!

  • powerflower

Also if it is possible to implement with gmotor 2 technologies – how about being the first mod to add body shake on braking! Single seaters – esp older f1 generate huge braking forces and have relatively light weight bodies, so vibrations on braking add to the immersion and makes the car feel alive! – and if you could put some relatively low frequency sounds [sub 300hz] to drive people’s butt kickers, then we could actually feel the body shake as well as see it on screen! -

It looks like the McLaren MP4 / 4.
I like how it has been, hopefully the physics are equally good.
    Greetings

  • Paul Kelly

Niels is on this team? Then this will be a guaranteed quality mod with bang-on physics and force feedback!

  • stabiz

Yep, I am very excited that a “F1″ car will get his treatment, this is going to be wild.

  • David Wright

I would imagine Renato Simioni was the head physics guy :)

    Agree

Clever concept. The car is beautiful.

Really look foward to see what physics comes out of the Simoni-Niels partnership.

I hope Reiza has some muscle in the sound dept. as well, it´s an essential (and often lacking) component to immersion IMO.
