RaceSimCentral.com – Back Online

After four months of renovations and maintenance, sim racing’s most important forum is back online as RaceSimCentral.com has been relaunched, featuring an all-new forum layout, accommodating all kinds of racing simulations.

RSC also has a brand new front page which features news items taken from this very site, so click here and pay the all-new RaceSimCentral a visit.

Update: Forum is back online after the server struggled to cope with mass refreshing.

Update 2: If you´re having problems logging in, make sure you´re using “forum.racesimcentral.com” instead of “forum.rscnet.org“.

  • FooAtari

    Finally!

    Except still says “comming soon…”

  • TomHolland

    Looks nice.

Forum doesnt work though. I get a Database error everytime I try to enter a subforum. I also can’t register.

  • sediol

Me too. Database error on the forum

  • NightSt@lk3r

What exactly have they done in 4 months? still getting random database errors and when it does load its slow as hell still.

  • http://racingrenders.com F1Racer

After 4 months and I get a message saying that the server is busy cos of too many people trying to get on. Brilliant.

  • Jdz

    About time.

@F1Racer: good to see you haven’t lost that typical RSC-bitching..

  • Sodapop

  • Vkt-2

my account on rsc is gone? wtf?

since 2005 registered on rsc and now i have to do a new one? wtf? :haha: :haha:

  • Gaiajohan

My account still exists so I think you’re making a mistake Vkt..

  • Vkt-2

ok new account i dont care :(

  • Husky42

haha, glad to see Vince Klortho the king dick weed dumb ass was busy banning all my various accounts while RSC was down.

At least they did something productive in 4 months, considering that server should have been up within 24 hours. A migration does NOT take that long.

RSC = Dead – Just look at the activity…Sucks considering it used to be the #1 site.

F1racer you clown lol. Are you still sucking petros mak off?

  • unklepepper

Well they seem to have the donation bar working at least :happyevil:
As every time I managed to get a page to load, it had gone up another 10 bucks.

It came back from the dead at just the right time for me as im working on my own G25 F1 wheel and you can spend weeks (literally in RSC’s case!) in the DIY hardware section at RSC looking at all the projects.

  • Uff

Guys, are you able to login? I managed to in the afternoon, but now I can’t. :weird:

  • Vkt-2

    NO :happyevil:

BUT THE F###G DONATION BAR WORKS LIKE A CHARM

It might blow your mind but running places like RSC or this one actually costs money. And I´m not talking a couple of bucks, I´m talking serious monthly costs to provide users a place with news or a place to discuss.

So ripping on sites for trying to get some of their costs back in is pretty ignorant to say the very least. Go start a website of yourself and see if you´re willing not just to put daily hours of work into it but also serious funding.

And another thing: Your first account got deleted for a very good reason. I tolerated that you signed back up a few weeks later, you´re on a quick pass to get deleted again!

Watch your mouth, foul language is not accepted around here.

oh yes bla bla bla… i’m ignorant , but RSC host the offical forums of some BIG game companys , so are u trying to say me that those companys DO NOT PAY any money for the service huh?

    i don’t think so… :happyevil:

why the normal users have to pay for a service that it has to be payed by those games companys?

in fact i don’t care , but i’m a bit mad because i can’t loggin with my account , but at the same time the donation system it works perfectly

  • Vkt-2

and if you want to delete this account too , I DON’T CARE.

  • James Burgess

Vkt-2: At present, no company pays anything for the forums they have hosted on RSC. This will be changing in the coming months, we hope.

  • Danny

Im amazed that after all these years RSC was not capable of striking deals with these companies for some funding as your forum served as a great platform of exposure for them. Seems like poor managment really. Not like they would have to pay much if they all chipped in.

  • James Burgess

As I said, Danny, this is changing in the coming months. Over the down-time, we haven’t really had any leverage with these companies, as there was no guarantee that RSC would be revived. Now that RSC is back online, running in a (mostly) stable fashion, etc. we have something to show, something of some value, and we are working on getting the major sim-racing developers to contribute to the support of RSC.
