The RaceSimCentral forums are on a planned downtime due to the RSC staff overhauling the forums and front-page.
The foum will be back in a few days in a read-only state until the new forum is set up a while later, new features will include a changed forum layout, a new theme and more. All existing accounts will be transferred over to the new forum so you won’t have to worry about re-registering.
More info can be found at RSC and of course here, as soon as the new place goes live.

I only just got used to the new layout! The one that put the nail in the coffin of so many interesting threads. In particular the rFactor screenshots threads and the screenshot galleries. You needed a degree in astro physics to find so many of the forums and topics that were once at your fingertips.
Sorry ’bout the negativity.
hang my head in shame.

I hope it is back up soon. There used to be a Honda related technical forum about five years ago that had masses of very good info. It wasn’t flooded with posts like, “what exhaust sounds the best” or “how much power do you think this sticker will give me” like all the other Honda related forums. Well this forum went down for technical reasons and never came back up. I wish I could get my hands on that database.

Hehe, then again you are not one of the most diplomatic of users.
I really havent used the forums much, it was to much work to navigate around in them, much like RSC.

I never found the forums hard to navigate. The only thing that was odd was all the sub forums. There are about 5 sub forums under the rFactor forum. I just looked at the root rFactor forum and the cockpit/hardware forum. I just bookmarked the two so I didn’t have to scroll down the 300 page list of forums to find them.
rfactormodsdie, I have to agree that sometimes the mods at RSC can go a little overboard. Power tripping sometimes.

RSC is a credit to the community…I suspect the only ones thinking the mods were “power hungry national socialists” went waaaaaaay over the line at some point.
Looking forward to seeing how it looks when it returns.

Yea, I’ll have to agree with that. 99% of the time, the people that complain about it, had whatever they got coming to them.
