Earlier this week, I´ve posted the Racedriver GRID Le Mans Trailer which showed the Creation CA06/H LMP1 prototype in action. Creation driver Stuart Hall was given the chance to try his car in Racedriver GRID and revealed quite some interesting details in an interview with Dailysportscar.com
“The handling of the car was good, it was very responsive like the Creation AIM,” Hall explained. “I braked in more or less the same places I did last year at Le Mans so that aspect was very good. The engine noise was quite realistic, I wouldn’t say it sounded exactly like the Judd in the CA06/H but it did sound like a petrol LMP1 car.”
And while the Circuit de la Sarthe and various Le Mans prototypes could be seen in screenshots before, the article also confirms that the full 24 Hours of Le Mans can be run in either real-time or time accelerated mode. This marks the first time that a PC game features Le Mans since the Atari Le Mans game.

I dont believe his comments. I remember reading something similar about cars in Gran Turismo 4, hehe.

Ah, but GT4’s road cars were quite realistic, while in GT5P the road cars are as good as anything I’ve seen in rfactor, in fact superior to most mods.

I think when real world drivers are commenting on sims/games they see it just as that: a game. I don’t think they expect too much realism from it. So IMO the best person suited to comment sims is the simmers them selves; or better yet, a simmer that races the same cars/tracks in the real world as well.
