Locke@Germany has released the new version of his RACE X Touring Car conversion for rFactor. The new version includes plenty of fixes, you need to have the full version of the mod installed to use it – Both downloads can be found below.
The mod centers around the WTCC 2006 & 2007 seasons plus plenty of fictional skins, vintage touring cars, Caterhams and more. This mod is the definite touring car collection for rFactor, perfect for everybody who love door-rubbing, paint-trading touring car action.

Filefront works at least here in Finland perfectly, problem with RS/MU is those stupid waiting times for free dl’ers.
And FF doesn’t has that <100Mb filesize-limit.

Locke, there is really no perfect way for those mirrors. If I use Rapidshare, some have problems with it. Same with Filefront… but if I use a “real” server mirror, I get angry emails from the owners because the amount of users sent their traffic through the roof…
If you have another mirror, I´m happy to add it in :)

complain, complain.. yesh.. I am getting 500 k/sec not waiting list or anything. Not sure how you can do better than that. There some guy that spends hours upon hours to make a mod, gives it to the community for free, and you complain that you can’t download it in less than 30 minutes…
I can’t believe I only recently found this site… The multiple updates each day is awesome! Keep up the good work Montoya!

I’ve got to give it up for FileFront also. I get 2x, and sometimes 3x, the d/l speed of any other storage site. With 600+Mb file that makes me very happy, plus no dicking around with codes etc because I’m not willing to pay for their service. Thanks for the mod, and thanks for getting the links up so quik Montoya. Your site absolutely ROCKS!

This league uses the WTCC 2006 version of the Race X mod with “NO” upgrades… the race format is (2) 20 minute races and we have weight penalties and a very unique points system… We regularly have 10 to 15 cars race with us every week and the drivers are all friendly and gentlemenly in thier on track behavior… if you are looking for some close, clean, Grip The Wheel racing then this is the League for you!!!

Its Portland but released under vanport name to avoid legal issues I think.

Well this was my point. If its a RACE07 rip-off then where are the same people who were screaming at HistorX mod team for lack of permission ?
Just looking for some consistency here. This one doesn’t have a DVD check, yet no-ones saying a word.
Y’know why ? Cos they don’t have to buy anything ! It suits them better. So its “Screw the only commercial companies that are making racing sims on this planet, as long as we don’t have to dip further into our pockets.”
This says to me that its ok to rip off another sim but if you put a DVD check in to respect the fact that you need to own the original, then you’re in the dog house.
Doesn’t seem right to me.
