Simbin’s RACE Pro simulation for Xbox 360 hits the shelves in Europe today, following the North America release three days ago. To honor the occasion, an official launch trailer has been released that you can enjoy in HD resolution below.
Quite a few people have already gotten their hands on a copy and so have the critics as reviews from high-profile gaming magazines are starting to come in. I think the North America release was today as well. No one had it yesterday, not at Game Stop, or Best Buy, or Wal Mart, or any place in my area of North Alabama. Today it shipped from Gamefly for me, I will receive Monday, anyone actually try this today?

I have 2 friends who have this, one is 50-50 on whether he likes it or not and the other loves it, i have to wait another 8 hours until my game store opens, i better get some sleep :)

I’ll be getting it. Even thou I have all the content barring two tracks for my PC which could be more realistic’er, I like to support a company that wants keep bringing us content.
Should be fun and its nice to see more realistic animations, i.e gear changes

I was lucky enough to get it yesterday,got to say I’m plesantly surprised,just struggle with correcting with joypad , being so used to wheel,so generally have to drive slower,and keep losing connection in on line games,although that may be my end(but dont have problems with anything else)

Just loading up. And what does make me lol, is that ATARI’s intro logo is 4:3.
Just had ago in the mini at road america and the sounds are abit weird, seems to go
do do do do do do – doesn’t seem a smooth mixing. Hope its just a bug and not a flaw with the game

Ok, to put it blunty. I’ll be heading back to GAME (game store) later on or tomorrow. It is just too buggy this game to be worth £39.99.
#1 – FPS is awful – can see the stutters
#2 – A lot of pop up scenery for background stuff, even when your near the edge of the background i.e Carasel @ Road America (think its called that anyway)
#3 – Tried to get onto multiplayer to test that. And its crashed twice. And my XB is working online as I just tried a game of Fifa to make sure.
#4 – Of the few MINI Cooper races I’ve tried, the rear of the car has some texture flickering.
#5 – HDR is still used way too much in the game to cover up bugs in the mesh. Not as bad as GRID or GTA4 but still bad.
#6 – Nothing feels smooth, I was checking the HUD and it was the engine that was bobbly, not smooth at all. Menu system looks ok until it has the stuff with what buttons to press. Just looks cheap.
Not impressed by it all, and I know I said I would support simbin even thou I owned the content. I aint supporting them, when the game is so god damn buggy. I think I’ll get FEAR2 now with the money from it + a subway sandwich :)
One plus side is, the RACE Pro video is awesome :)
