Kotaku managed to get their hands on an early version of Simbin’s RACE Pro simulation for the XBOX 360 and released the screenshots you can find below.
We get to see a variety of cars, from F3000 to GTs with some noticeable details. Macau (as seen in the F3000 screenshot) looks a lot more stunning with the Lizard engine, especially the skyscrapers in the background.
The car models seem to have been pretty much straight converted from GTR Evolution though as the Audi R8 cockpit still sports the same ugly door handle texture – Not very next-gen like.
Good news is that Simbin is planning to expand the game’s content after the release, there has been no word on if the additional content will be free or not. Rather bad news is that the game has been pushed back to January 2009 in order to give Simbin more time to make sure that the game will make an instant impact on console gamers.
A demo should hit Xbox Live in time for Christmas, giving us something to shorten the waiting time.

Hmm, can somebody make me clear, what is next-gen in this? I think that actual GTR2 or rFactor with great modding community and their addons looks much better and mainly more naturally. Of course that we cant judge physics or sounds now, but next-gen title should be next-gen in all ways, dont you thing?

Simbin will miss Christmas season, bad move, but not surprosed with if Aterai is involved

The only next-gen-thing i see on the screenshots are the realtime-shadows in the cockpit. Actually it’s time to bring GTR2 & Co on a next level, but i’m a little bit disappointed about the lack of eyecandy.
I hope we get at least next-gen-physics and a revised soundengine with Lizard.

LOL @ Lizard engine, same ol same, looks just like every other simbin title, a few shadows here & there, the new ISI engine will urinate all over this pile of shyte, good simbin, join the console market, and watch your profits fall, after a year or so, pushing out the same old boring game type, you didn’t fool pc users, and you will not fool console users.
Haaahaaa Atari will have the final laugh, take a note out of ISI’s book & go independent, remember the EA/ISI love relationship?…….lets see how long simbin last in the console market.

Unfortuantely this does not appeal to me. I’ve beena simbin supporter and self proclaimed “fanboy” since there modding days. Looking at rehash after rehash (come on evo is just a rehash – Add a few models tweak the tire model and call it a new game) This quite looks like crap. I wasnt happy with evo and this with simbins recent letter means Simbin will never get another dime of my money.

@Raikku
Fanatec is working on a wheel for the XBOX360. I assume that wheel will eat the MS Wheel for breakfast.
At first anonymous person:
Why do you think the full game will look like this? I think this game is not in beta stage yet..
As Montoya said, the cars seem to be converted, so this is not full game material. I think these models aren’t the models that will be in this game. Guess they were working on the track first, and the cars will be added later.

What is with that one of the Saleen at Oschersleben? that chicane looks way to straight for Oschersleben. Suppose they’re gonna go down the route of crappy Race Driver.
