Drivingitalia.net has dug up some new high-resolution screenshots of Simbin’s RACE Pro simulation for the Xbox 360.
The screens focus on the sims’ road car class, showing various high-power sports cars racing each other. RACE Pro is scheduled to be released in Q1 2009 and will contain and exciting mix of WTCC cars, GTs, road cars and open wheelers.

MMG has released their Formula One 2007 mod for GTR Evolution/RACE 07, bringing a high-quality Formula One mod to Simbin's franchise. After being busy with other track projects for quite a while, Com8 has released some new previews of a very much anticipated track for rFactor - The Nürburgring Nordschleife 2009. Based on the original Simbin version, Com8's 2009 version will contain many changes such as new textures & shaders, remodelled curbs, the removal of all fictional advertisement boards and lots of trackside objects. yep… that ain’t screens from RACE Pro… those are from Evolution. At least look like it, with the track datil on very low.

Those are clearly RACE Pro shots, the lightning is nothing like in GTR Evolution and the Audi cockpit shot also shows Laguna Seca.

Didn’t see any lightning, but I’ve heard there will be rain, still looking forward to this game. It should be the best sim on a console thus far.

stabiz – I think that’s more of a 360 issue than a Race Pro one. Shouldn’t be noticeable on a proper TV. At least I hope so anyway…

The graphics doesn’t look that good. The cockpit shots look nice but overall that game can’t compete with other console racers. Especially that R8 really looks poor. Where are all the details? The windows look terrible and also the back diffuser looks weird as if it’s included in the rear bodywork. Also there are some errors in the model itself. The coolers can’t be seen as there is a cover in front of them which is missing in these screens. Also where is the number plate notch in the grill? The quattro badge is also missing.

Finding fault with screenshots or alternatively claiming they are renders or photoshopped is the standard response to any screen-shots from a forthcoming title.

Claiming screenies are photoshopped can generally be taken as a compliment. In this case the screenshots are somewhat underwhelming relative to what we’ve seen from GT5P or even Forza. But like Ive said before, what will hopefully set RACE Pro apart will be the physics.
