They needed to pick tracks we haven’t tried already for the demo. I wonder how the SimBin version of Laguna Seca stacks up against Com8′s.

Pinoyone: Does anybody knew if simbin included their version of porche 997, Ferrari f430 & the new BMWM3 e93 in this version?

The short answer is no :) Ferrari and Porsche have pulled out of the FIA GT license.

i tried the not official demo and i really liked laguna seca and okayama alot.
very good done and the formula masters is very fun, i get a good feel with it.

im deffinetly getting this addon when it is available on steam as i did with the other addons, good “bang for the buck” i say. :D

now i go back to the forumula masters again :D

Simbin release 1 or 2 addons for around £20-25 a year and you get lots of content and good online racing if you're part of an organised club. iRacing requires a subscription, Broadband internet and additional cost for tracks and cars to compete. You need to keep your opinions in perspective. iRacing should be more realistic considering it's cost. Simbin give you nearly as good an experience for a lot less. They are both excellent products that give value for money for different budgets.

iRacing is a step up from the Gmotor based Sims, but it’s not massively different. When I switched back to GTR2 and Evo etc (as I couldn’t afford iRacing) I didn’t feel like I was going back to a poor simulation at all. In fact everything I’d learnt in iRacing translated and improved my driving in these other Sims.

And the Formula Masters cars are awesome. The graphics maybe dated to Shift and even iRacing (looks lovely without doubt)but at least you get an enjoyable and involving Sim with plenty of content for the cost of a couple of iRacings cars.

Don’t get me wrong, if had the money I’d do iRacing more, but it wouldn’t take me away from the Series racing etc that the very competent Race Series provides .

The graphics may be outdated, but the demo still delivers good, solid racing. And it still has probably the best AI in simracing: you can enter a corner 2 wide perfectly well and not be punted off by the AI. I found it difficult to pass in the demo, since all cars are ‘driven’ by the same talent file and the pack is rather bunched up. You need to wait for the AI to make a mistake, which does happen.
I liked the Challenger: it’s something new and it sounds nice. The TDI SEAT… well… I don’t know. In a modern turbo diesel there is a very distinct feeling of the car being driven by the turbo. Actually, I’m surprised they don’t replace tachometers with boost gauges. Engine revs are meaningless, what’s important is boost. Without it, the car doesn’t seem to move at all. Race engines could be tuned differentely but I still think the SEAT feels weird

Hi,

I have Race On full version integrated in my GTR EVO and the only good thing is to have Laguna Seca, Road America and Okayama and 2008 tracks as well. Regarding cars Formula Master are awesome… the rest it’s more garage and nothing special. Graphics are getting obsolete in GTR EVO. To gert them more real you need to use enb series. Physics as per everybody know are quite good.
