21 tracks are included, including brand new tracks like Okayama, Laguna Seca, Road America and all STCC venues. RACE On will be on sale in stores for 49,99€, the game will also be released via Steam and as upgrade for existing RACE07/GTR Evolution owners.

Can’t wait! Anybody knows what will be the price for existing owners of Race07 and GTR-E?

My guess:
Race On with STCC and Race07 – €40
Race On with STCC – €30
Race On only – €20
On Steam that is
But yeah, I’ve also already seen Race07+GTR Evo for €5…
I paid $25 back then on Steam for Evo expansion only and got STCC for free because I pre-ordered Evo.

I am puzzled by the further delays (original release date was Q2). The cars and tracks are made, the engine is mature, so why the continuing delays? Somethings not quite right. Maybe the problems lie with the new publisher.

It’s about time, Simbin. Although I already own Race 07, GTR-E and STCC, I’m kinda disappointed how all this worked out for us PC users. I mean, Race Pro already got lots of content, including WTCC’08 and basically all the other Race On stuff more than a month ago. Add to this that the Xbox guys even got more tracks with Spa and Mid Ohio and some classic cars. I’ll probably get On anyway but all this is still annoying. We have to wait almost two more months and won’t even have the mentioned extras – why?
Also, I’ll probably never understand what Simbin meant with this: “We have secured licenses for a couple of highly requested series and we think our next scheduled title will come as a big happy surprise to all racers around the world.” Sure, Formula Master is nice and all, but that’s it? I was hoping for BTCC or something…

That’s true, but for me it’s a must buy (besides Shift and Win7).
The Simbin stuff may not be too polished optically, but this great immersion I get personally in no other sim. And I really like their AI.
Great news and….really wish Simbin great success in these ‘competitive times’

Dammit, is this price set to 50€?
I already bought race/evo/stcc all in total of 80€ and now this addon goes for 50€?
Y did i buy stcc then! Hope there will be a discount for those who already own the range. Or else i find it a ripoff!

That were my thoughts too.
Perhaps the big DLC-pack for RacePro was more important.

I had to admit that SRT’s G27 review stating mid September for Race On release had me primed to get hold of it within 2 weeks. As such it was an easy purchase choice.
End of October is confusingly late. That’s a full month after NFS:Shift, which not only also has Laguna Seca and Road America, but also a whole bunch more including even Nordschleife. And the cars… hypercar heaven with the Veyron, McLaren F1, Zonda, McMerc, Konigsegg, Reventon, Carrera GT, etc…
Given that it’s getting pretty clear GT5 will release first week of December, Race On will only come out a month or so before GT5 full game.
Summing all this up, that €20 as an expansion on Steam for two tracks and a few cars is starting to look very expensive. I’ll probably only purchase if NFS:Shift proves to fail badly.

Bullshit. More delays.. Now another month and a half?
What happened to September 15th?

Probably didn’t want to release it the same day as Shift I guess.

Yes, but NFS will be arcade bullshit.
Of course is October 22nd a store date? Since remember the BS with STCC on Steam? No release date, no nothing. Simbin are utterly clueless when it comes to release dates and treat us all like mushrooms. (They keep us in the dark and feed us shit.)
I’m with sediol above. I love Simbin stuff as I get a “feel” and immersion I just don’t get from rFactor etc… And the AI is pretty damn good. It has occasional lapses due to poor track design (running out of fuel on the first lap which is hardly Simbin’s fault on third party tracks) and there’s a few other bugs etc… But for I love Evo and can’t wait for this addon. A properly licensed Road America in a sim I love. Awesome!

Well the site actually says 10-22 for “German-speaking territories”.
It doesn’t say anything about other regions.

Wow SimBin. I just don’t know If I’ll buy RaceOn, especially If Need For Speed: Shift is any good.

Simbin have already made it clear that if you already have Race 07 and STCC then the price of the Race On expansion will be less than 50€. The 50€ price is for the full game.

http://www.simbin.se/news.php?newsid=163 only specifies Oct 22nd for the boxed version in German Territories.
Who knows when it will be out on Steam or non-German territories :(
