R3E – Open Beta Coming Up

After several months of closed beta testing, Simbin is starting to prepare the public launch of their free to play RaceRoom Racing Experience title.

The first public release of the title will come in the form of an open beta that will give more people than the chosen beta testers access to the game.

R3E is free to play, coming with several free cars & tracks to race on as well as a large library of cars and tracks that can be purchased for RaceRoom Credits which translate into actual money.

Even though Simbin is still continuing to announce new licenses, the cars selection in the closed beta is already quite extensive, focusing mainly on GTs and sport prototypes as well as a few touring cars.

The choice of tracks is a bit slimmer as of now, one of them being Mount Panorama Bathurst of which Simbin has released a new preview below.

    One interesting thing to note is that Simbin are being very relevant with their cars!

    Their MP4-12c 2012 is now updated to new 2013 spec and the R8 LMS to R8 LMS Ultra spec!

    I read it on forum, about error: 0 , some people have this problem, but nothings helped.

    I don’t care if it’s pay to drive as long as it gives me laser scanned tracks and proper simulation but in the end of the day it will be very hard to beat iRacing or AC. Simbin also has another title in the making if I’m not wrong i.e. GTR3 so paying for two titles which could and should had been a single project isn’t encouraging. But if they add the MP4-12C to this open beta or demo I may try it out so I can compare it with iRacing’s version although I expect Simbin to feel much “fun” and less “sim”. Let’s see…

    How do you know that Simbin also has another title in the making? AFAIK there are no signs of GTR3 or any other title… I know there is the website and some suspicious screenshots but that’s all we have.

    there won’t be any GTR3 because of the imposibility for simbin to get the Porsches and Ferrari licence which are both in the GT championship… this is why we have Raceroom Experience instead.

    Race Room is clearly a sim, but its also a lot of fun :)

    I think its a bit easier to keep the car on the track than many other recent sims, but it does not feel like its due to lack of realism but rather better input and more direct steering and accurate force feedback.

    To me racing in Race Room is proper sim racing, no question
