R3E – New Content Available To Try

Simbin has launched some new content on their RaceRoom Racing Experience title, giving sim racers the chance to sample two new cars for free.

R3E players can now buy the Suzuka International Circuit as well as the semi-fictional Ruf RUF RT12R & Mclaren Mclaren-Mercedes SLR 722GT.

The two cars can be sampled for free this weekend. While Suzuka is available free to try all weekend, the RUF RT12R can be driven for free now until Saturday 1800 CET. After that, the SLR 722GT will be available for free until Monday 1800 CET.

Why does the SLR have a built in LCD display on the steering wheel, but doesn’t use it?

      Cause… Realism.

How does this answer my question?

Take notice other sims , these are proper motor racing sounds.

sorry but your wheel is not good enough to judge FFB.

      • Anonymous

Wrong..wheel is very good with rf2 and AC.. Sorry….

  • Brandon Miller

Yah, RRE is pretty dope! FFB feels good, the wheel feels like it should be doing what its doing! I do feel that the cars have too much grip though…

Sounds are immersive, graphics don’t beat up your GPU, and the GUI looks promising.

    Bring on the Multiplayer!

+1! Can’t wait till this thing comes out of beta.

How can we try Suzuka for free? I only have the Ruf on the RaceRoom Raceway track?

    • Brandon Miller

Suzuka starts this weekend. It’s still Thursday.

      • terrymcc

How do i get RUF RT12R for free when i go on to the games it only says i can buy it

    • Anonymous

It’s under Competitions on the main menu.

    • Anonymous

Sorry, my mistake. Suzuka isn’t available to try yet, Simbin’s PR text was worded a tad confusing and I made the wrong assumption :)

  • Richard

I’m not going to even consider this until they reduce the 12gb or something donwload size…

This game must be awesome when of all things, that’s the excuse you use to refuse to try it. How is it back there in 1995? ;)

    • Pavel Drandiiski

Just checked and it is 8G. Even if your internet is slow you can download it overnight. And if you can’t spare 8g for a free racing sim then may be you are on the wrong site mate :-)

Damn those RUF sounds are so frecking amazingly close to the real thing! I just wish this didnt feel so much like a game. Or rather i wish A Certain other title would have Simbins audio…

    • Anonymous

I wish AC had Anthony from Simbin to do their sounds. : )

Love the improved onboard sounds of the BMW 635 CSI !

Sorry R3E just does not do it for me as of yet. I have always been a big fan of SimBin and own everything with exception to Race Pro(no Xbox 360). It did however take me a little bit of time to warm up to Race 07 so who knows? I will not count it out but first impressions are not the best for me.

I just logged in to try the RUF and it says I have to pay? It is Saturday, 9 March
0:54:25 a.m(GMT + 1:00) at the time I tried to test it out. Am I missing something here, only option I have to try out any of the new content is to pay for it lol …

You have to click on the “Competition” tab mate, at the bottom on the main menu, all the ‘Try before you buy’ stuff is there.

Does the dancey rear end of the cars remind anybody else of Shift 1?
