R3E – Audi R8 LMS Ultra Licensed

Simbin has announced yet another license for their RaceRoom Racing Experience title as the Audi R8 LMS Ultra joins the free to play title.

The Audi has already been available to drive for closed beta testers for a while, starting next week everybody will be able to experience the car as R3E goes open-beta.

The Ultra is the latest evolution of Audi’s successful R8 LMS GT3 racing car that has won the Ingolstadt-based make several important endurance events, including the Spa 24 Hours, the Bathurst 12 Hours and the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

    No Audi R18 in PCCARS, it’s an audi A4 DTM and PCARS don’t still have licence for AUDI that is called “Asano” in the game.
    Disign is the real one, not the name (maybe later)

    it isn’t licensed but yeah there are models in there. Although now I think of it, I dont think Audi would be too fond of showing off their current car. We might see the R15 and R15+ though instead of that

    Not exactly. That was the Audi R8 Grand Am not the R8 LMS ultra

    The Grand Am car is the GT3 chassis with just a few modifications (less downforce, no driver aids, and more restricted engine).

    Will the game allow to race any car against any car on any track? Building custom grids? Multiclass racing? I don’t see any coherent class structure in the cars introduced so far though…

    Damn, I missed Daytona. Again. Damn Americans, road racing in January, who would’ve thought that? So now the next big race is Sebring. Six weeks of waiting…

    Next big race is the Bathurst 12h, and Daytona was after the Gulf 24h. The racing season starts early everywhere, not just the US :)
