Luis Branco and PTSims have released a new mod for GTR Evolution, bringing us the Ferrari F550, Maserati MC12 and Lamborghini Murcielago race cars from GTR2.
Unlike the GTR2GT conversion, these cars have been carefully converted to match the GT Pro cars in game. The cars have GTR Evolution spec physics and tires plus other additional features such as rear-view displays in the Lamborghini & Maserati. Furthermore, the mod comes with animated windscreen wipers for all cars, carefully positioned to match the real cars’ wipers.
Important: This mod will only work with the Online-Steam version of GTR Evolution, not the Offline version.

Oh, and i guess it must be possible to have it working on an offline installation of the game.
I think that if you temporarily install the online version, that you then install the mod and copy all mod files into your offline folder, it should work, shouldn’t it?

Wow! Great stuff. I just finished racing all the cars. I like the extra sounds. And feels great with the other cars. Thanks a lot.

Thanks for this mod guy’s, the driving is perfect when compared to the stock EVO cars. I love the feel and look foward to more.
My only suggestions are towards the sounds:
First positives – Great to have two options.
Negitives – both sounds weak inside the car the the rumble strip sounds are distorted, can this be corrected?
I’ve compared the sounds to EVO sounds and the incar are better and the rumble strips are fine.
Just a thought, I love the add-on, THANKS

Update to sound comment:
I copied my original Ferrari 550 sounds and replaced to those with the mod and the internal sounds and rumble strip sounds are much better now, for me anyway, for those interested in trying.
I’m going to play with the other two now.
Again, thanks for this mod PT Sims, it is a prefect conversion of these models, I look forward to others.
Thanks

You can install the cars either with the steam downloadable version or with the DVD versions. Any of the two allows having the online version installed.
As long you have the online version installed the installer will follow through and you don’t have to look for any workaround.
An updated version with amendments made to solve the memory leak issue is eminent. The previous links were disabled as we are uploading the update. New links will be made available soon.
