Luis Branco and PTSims have released a new version of their PTSims GT Addon Cars Mod for GTR Evolution. The mod includes the Ferrari F550, Maserati MC12 and Lamborghini Murcielago from GTR2, the new version fixes a memory leak problem as well as other glitches.
Unlike the GTR2GT conversion, these cars have been carefully converted to match the GT Pro cars in game. The cars have GTR Evolution spec physics and tires plus other additional features such as rear-view displays in the Lamborghini & Maserati and working wipers for all cars.
Important: This mod will only work with the Online-Steam version of GTR Evolution, not the Offline version. Version 2.0 is a standalone download, it will work both with and without having version 1.0 installed.

Great work on this mod. One thing I noticed in the Ferrari F550 cockpit view is that the driver reaches for a shifter that is not there. Small thing but looks a bit funny.

I’ve just ordered GT Evolution DVD and already I’m regretting that I didn’t purchase via Steam. Has anyone managed to install V2 for DVD installs?

Online is steam anyway.

I think some of you didn’t quite understand how the online version can be installed.
It can be installed either if you buy the DVD version or the downloadable Steam version.
Everyone who bought the DVD must surely remember that, when installing, it’s asked to either install the offline or the online version.
The ones who bought on steam only have the online version, of course.
So, when it’s said that the install should only work with the online (Steam) version, and please note steam it’s between parentheses, it’s because you can install the cars if either you have the online version installed, from the DVD, or the steam downloadable version.
As long you have the online version from any of those, DVD or steam, the installer will work. Of course, when you chose to install the online version from the DVD you’ll have to set a steam account.
The only reason we choose to use this, even if SimBin allows conversion from older titles without this requirement, is to support SimBin titles and let the developers know that we are making our efforts, as little as they can be, to diminish the use of cracked copies.
Far from us to be a SimBin police, but I believe we all have something to gain by supporting SimBin and others alike to be able to continue to have sim racing titles in the future.
I hope you understand our reasons.

Willster, when your DVD arrives, you will find you have the option to install offline, online/steam or both from the DVD. I bought the DVD and have installed both and can run this mod on both versions.

You can easily fix that if you have Race On (or at least the Formula Master animation file from Race ON).
rename FPDriver_FormulaMaster_Shifting.FXM to FPDriver_FERRARI_F550_Shifting.FXM and overwrite the ferrari animation, then open Ferrari_550_STYLE2.inccar and edit
ShiftStickPosition=(0, 0, 0) then add the line PaddleShift=1
and you’re done :)

Oh and if you dont have the formula animation you can still edit Ferrari_550_STYLE2.inccar with the above lines. It will lower the animation and the invisible shifter out of the screen -> so you cant tell that the shifter is actually missing
