The Virtua_LM Junior Team has released a new preview video of their highly anticipated Prototype C mod for rFactor, showing the Rondeau M379C prototype around Mid Ohio. Make sure to turn up the volume, especially for the downshifting sounds.
Combining both Prototypes and GT’s from three different classes, Prototype C for rFactor centers around the 1983 edition of the Le Mans 24 Hour race. The mod includes legendary race cars like the Porsche 956, the Lancia LC2, the BMW M1 and countless other cars that are still considered to be among the most beautiful and spectacular sports cars of all time.

This mod is the reason I bought rFactor in the first place, when it was first announced.
Sadly I’ve moved on since then and haven’t play RF in months. But I will definitely fire it up when this mod finally appears.

The most awaited mod of all time. Will be great if they release it in parts like Enduraces.
The cockpit is very good, it didn’t looks like in earlier screens.
Very hard-working team for years. Big respect for them.
I hope it will be released soon.

Wish this was about to be released,
a Virtua_LM project never goes unnoticed, so imagine the expectations.

What about GTR2’s Protoytpes SCC and JPBS’ Lolas? SCC hasn’t been updated in a year and JPBS’ Lolas were finished a year ago yet remain unreleased.

Holy freakin’ bleepin’ bleepity bleep… the on-power sound is probably one of the best possible renditions of the Cosworth DFV.
Judging by the recent WIP teasers, shots and videos, I’d say that they’ll release it in “era” packages (2 or 3 seasons bundled together). Of course, there’s every possibility that I’m wrong, but…

Sounds like iRacing’s Lotus79. Same engine?

MEGA! Let’s hope the physics are as good as the sounds and graphics, which are magnificent!
But if Virtua_LM’s cars are as good as they’re tracks, there should be no worries.

As far as I can tell, the first release will include every car from the 1983 24 Hours of Le Mans.

I really wish the individual who runs this site would pay attention.
This mod is not being worked on by Virtua_LM. It is the work of the VLM_JT – the VLM Junior Team and they are separate from VLM. As a member of both teams I know what I am talking about.
Yes, this mod has been in progress for over two years, more like three, and I can’t believe he continues to make this mistake.
If you are going run a news site then get your facts straight !

Mistake has been fixed, my bad.
I don’t really understand why you have to be this hostile and could not have send a mail first. I don’t pay attention? Please check the other PTC postings from a while back, it was correct there.
I simply forgot it this time, trying to get the videos out quickly. It’s my mistake of course but you really don’t have the nicest ways of letting one know.

+1. Vince, a lot of what you write is true but you write in such an uppity, high-and-mighty fashion that it’s clearly not just me that finds it irritating. I’d have thought you’d be at least grateful and perhaps even humbled by the amount of interest and anticipation – and indeed coverage – for yours and and your junior team’s mods, but instead you seem intent on alienating your teams’ fans and followers with your attitude towards them. I’m not sure if this is intentional or if you are even aware of it, but you ought to know, it’s not gone unnoticed and is starting to grate.
I understand that you’re in it for the love of modding and you’re not in it to serve or please the community, yadda yadda etc etc. I’m instead referring to common courtesy.
