Following the preview video of Le Mans 1991-1996, Virtua_LM has just released another stunning preview video, showing their much anticipated Prototype C mod in action. The video takes us around Mid Ohio in a Kremer Porsche CK5 prototype, letting us hear some very impressive sounds. The video is available in Youtube HD so make sure to active the HD mode watch in full-screen to catch all the glory!
Combining both Prototypes and GT’s from three different classes, Prototype C for rFactor centers around the 1983 edition of the Le Mans 24 Hour race. The mod includes legendary race cars like the Porsche 956, the Lancia LC2, the BMW M1 and countless other cars that are still considered to be among the most beautiful and spectacular sports cars of all time.

Is that gear shift sound accurate? Just curious.
Video would have been better without the endless panning around the cockpit etc… (I have to have all cockpit movement turned off in sims. Makes me ill otherwise.)
ScHiRoCk: That helipcopter at Mid Ohio made some race video editing I did a year or so ago bloody annoying as it’s a moving object and was never in the same place twice during replays making matching footage irritating:)
Cool though. Love little touches like that.

This is bloody lovely. The engine sound is to die for and the interior is so detailed with a convincing 80s style about it. Can understand why it has taken so long if all the cars have had this amount of work put into them.

nice to see some ingame footage.
Hope to see that stuff soon on my HD…
But the sound has nothing to do with a real one

My opinion…Good mixture of known sounds no question, but for me it´s not real….

Well, the CK5 had a diferent engine of the one in the 962, so its understandable that the engine noise is diferent.

the windshield darkness is something on the to do/fix list so dont worry about it.
