Project CARS – What A Difference A Year Makes #2

Three weeks ago, MotoGamesTV posted a first comparison video, showing off the difference between the development builds of Project CARS now and 12 months ago.

Here’s the next one, showing a lap around the Nordschleife in the Pagani Zonda R. Since the first footage was recorded a year ago, all aspects of Project CARS made rapid progress, including track modeling, physics as well as sound work as you can see (and hear!) below.

Project CARS is coming to the PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii U in 2014. More info can be found on the WMD website.

It’s been quite the ride. I drove all the “rainbow road” tracks as soon as they were released, the craziness of the Beta Tire Model, all the well-known bugs, etc. Still got a ways to go but much of it really is looking great and they only seem to be moving forward.

If they can match netKar Pro’s FFB I’d be thrilled.

not good comparison. Why compare unfinished and finished track?

    • Ross Siggers

      This comment is hilarious…

    • Wesley Modderkolk

Dont know if I have to laugh at this comment or not

      • Pascal

Why? It doeasn’t make sense. Every track in every game makes progress. They should compare same finished track, in different builds.

Given your reply, it seems like you *might* be serious so I’ll answer: because we’re comparing where the game was a year ago to where it is now…

      • Pascal

Yea, but it would be better compare lighting, physics etc. on “same” track.

      • Anonymous

It IS the same track. That’s what the track looked like a year ago. When you’re comparing a track one year apart you can’t “wish” it was different than it was. Reality is reality.

      • Pascal

I know it’s the same track. I wrote “same”. First what you see in this video is difference in track. Not in lighting, physics etc. But it’s ok.

      • Wesley Modderkolk

Oh god, have you actually read the post or watched the video? I really doubt that.

I guess people didn’t understand your question.
I also believe they should have shown a track that was much more developed in the beginning so we could see the improvements in the engine instead of the progress of the Nordschleiffe map…
This comparison mostly shows the mappers had a year to work on a track and on the Zonda R cockpit… duh.

      • Pascal

        That’s what I meant.

    What’s your point?

    Impressive improvements.
