Project CARS – Meet the A4 DTM

WMD Team Member Scorzilla has put together a very impressive video, showing off the A4 DTM car in Project CARS with some stunning video footage.

The A4 is one of the cars ready to drive for WMD members, alongside several historical Formula cars, a Le Mans Prototype and other challenging machinery such as a Shifter Kart.

Every interested sim racer can become Team Member for a one-time price of 25€ to enjoy weekly development builds and up-close access to follow the development progress of Project CARS. For more info on pricing and benefits, check out the WMD website.

I never saw a dtm car drifting like that. It behaves in real life more like a formula car so this is unrealistic.

Is this project sponsored by Audi?!)…

You know this is just a fun video of a pCARS fan? So don’t talk nonsense, you could do such things in every sim. I know iRacing vids who have drifts like that.

I see ur not yet a WMD member and haven’t tried the cars pre alpha. cars is what the nfs shift should be in the first place imo.. free from EA influence and more sim oriented ..I don’t like the vid too btw :) too much drifting and spinning.. not showing the cars potential

    well doing doughnuts isn’t drifting.

With right setup you can drift ANY car.

I’ve enjoyed watching the game develop in the last two months. The devs know exactly what they’re going for – DirectX 11 graphics (native) and as realistic as possible. This doesn’t mean copying iRacing (artificially hard, in a lot of ways) but simply using real drivers to provide feedback to make sure these cars behave the same.

By the way, Ben Collins (The Stig) is signed as a tester and has already been involved in providing feedback. He’s not a huge racing game player so his feedback is extremely valuable and direct.

As far as this video is concerned? The guy was just having fun! You can setup any car to oversteer or understeer and pCARS is no exception. This car with default setup is fairly stable but at low speed corners can power oversteer easily. At Bathurst (because of all the undulations) is extremely difficult get a clean lap in. That’s one hell of a circuit!

I hope you guys are right and this game will be totally different to Shift.. It looks awesome, but I’ve heard/read a lot of opinions about the strange “slippery” phisics.. well, I’ll give a chance to this if there will be a free demo (if there will be any)
