Partnering with Panasonic, Slightly Mad Studios have unveiled 4K Gaming at the IFA exhibition in Berlin today.
Visitors of the expo are invited to try Project CARS at the Panasonic booth, using a full-scale Mercedes Benz DTM simulator that runs the game in beautiful 3840 x 2160 cinematic 4K simulation at smooth 60fps.
The simulation setup uses Panasonic’s brand new Smart Viera 4K Ultra HD TV, powered by nVidia’s mighty GeForce GTX Titan. The simulator itself is equipped with a Fanatec CSW steering wheel so if you’re at the IFA, make sure to pop in an put your time on the leaderboard.
Project CARS was also part of Panasonic’s big keynote presentation earlier today and footage of the simulation can be seen on various screens at the Panasonic booth as you can see in the video below (starting around the 1:00 minute mark).
Below are two photos of the simulator setup both from the outside and inside.
Project CARS is coming to the PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii U in 2014. More info can be found on the WMD website.
