Project CARS – First BMWs Available

Slightly Mad Studios have released a major new build of their WMD-powered Project CARS title, adding the first two of ten BMWs to their simulation.

The new build includes early versions of the 2012 BMW Z4 GT3 and the 1981 BMW M1 Procar for WMD members to test, Project CARS will include ten iconic BMWs as announced back in July.

Alongside the new cars, the new build also comes with plenty of Force Feedback improvements as well as lots of other fixes and additions as listed below.

The new build is available via the Project CARS launcher that is available on the WMD Downloads Page, new members can register here.

Changelog

Build 296 (6/9/12, Junior+)

  • Added lock for non-available vehicles by status
  • Online sessions:
  • * Changed debug outpuf of certain state information to print textual name of the state instead of numeric value
  • * Lobby setup request message has new parameters that specify that the sender wishes to receive. (Until now the only option was everything.)

  • * Improved the protocol for distributing setup of a user that joins a session in the lobby. There were a few situations where the user’s setup would not reach the admin and/or some members, these now work properly.
  • * User setup validated by admin will overwrite my local preferred setup, if it was changed during validation
  • * Race load syncing up to transition to data loading (work in progress)
  • * Renamed some events so that all event names follow the same naming convention
  • * If host migration happens at any point during load sequence, the new admin will request state update from all members and all members will send the update to the new admin
  • * Debug menu commands to join or create a session will not assert when not joined to a server, instead they will print an error.
  • Restructured damage manager to handle initialisation of damage brushes slightly later during boot sequence, so that memory trace module would be ready
  • Changed vehicle flow to use higher level discipline filter – uses ‘vehicle shape’ rather than ‘vehicle class’
  • Added an ‘All’ option to the dicipline menu

Just look at how the M1 stands in the pit lane, totally arcade. Bad physics, you can clearly see that!

I certainly see it standing out! My heck It’s scary how good this game looks.
Where an earth are we going to be in a couple years?

Just thinking about how far things have come, particularly in racing games (as an easily quantifiable base) sure different art styles exist, but there’ll always be a modelled car in a environment and “real life” as a comparison, and we’re still in PS3 era. Only GT6 on the PS4 I imagine will be able to match or better pCars now.

Dear god that M1 is beatiful! Same goes to Z4 :)

  • http://twitter.com/kr1nz kr1nz

I was going to try the BMW’s and guess what…only Team Members or higher can drive it. They launching these cars in a Junior Build and being only availiable for Team Members is like saying: “Hey, you wanna test it and help us getting the BMW’s better? Give me money!”
I’m not a hater, is just their business model just with false promises that pisses me off. If they really care about the community opionion they wouldn’t be doing that…that’s just a strategy to get more money.

  • Alejandro Gorgal

Edit: Nevermind, I see that Junior builds dont have access to the new cars, which makes sense considering that they said from the start that Juniors wouldn’t be getting as much stuff and that upgrading to team member is so cheap.

With a Junior build you are getting more content that you’ll ever get on any demo of any game, about 10 cars and 20 or so tracks plus unlimited play time (compared to rFactor’s 60 minute trial). That should be more than enough to judge if the game is good or not.

And of course they want you to upgrade and put more money into the project, they are trying to raise funds to finish the game. You see this as a punishment, I see it as a reward for helping out development by investing more.
    Funny how that works huh?

  • Alejandro Gorgal

The new FFB is SO good, I had a blast trying out all the cars again yesterday, it still needs some work in some areas but it’s definitely a step in the right direction.

  • http://twitter.com/Dillyracer Dylan H.

Read the description instead of complaining.

I always race with cockpit cam, but I wasn’t going to show a cockpit which is far from finished in a video.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Tiago-Guerreiro/1426133677 Tiago Guerreiro

FFB still very bad for me, graphics are to shiny not realistic at all!!!!! Not yet convinced with this project!!!!!

  • Attila Kiss

Right now, the cars do not have handling, they just plow and go :(

  • Anonymous

still trying to get my F430 wheel to work for Race Room Experience…Pcars are nice, but cant really get into it with place holder sounds atm.

  • Anonymous

In short:They need our money so they don’t need to sell their soul to the devil again ( Publishers ). If anything, thats commendable.

  • Anonymous

What exactly is bad about the FFB, and with what wheel ?
Also, the cars differ alot in FFB strength etc, try telling a bit more instead of these broad generalisations.

  • pez2k .

The toolpack descriptions do mention exclusive cars for Team Members and above, SMS have just frankly been generous so far in letting Juniors drive everything despite only contributing the smallest possible amount. It certainly is about money too, it’s a community-funded title so it needs the community to fund it, which means rewarding people who contribute more.

  • Mike Cimuchowski

  • Anonymous

    wow

  • http://twitter.com/kr1nz kr1nz

I’m pretty sure that in the start of the project the only difference between the builds was how often you had access to updates…and the Junior build isn’t a demo, I’m paying for it. I don’t see that as a punishment, i see that as try to get more money in a non-etichal way…because in the start of the game that thing of “exclusive content” didnt existed. One more thing, rembember the marketing move of saying that the raising funds system would be closed soon? Guess what.

  • Tospos

Still not good i agree. If u are in racing line and u drive clean all i ok but if u want have some fun car go to wall power slide drift or just catch it dont work :D

  • Alejandro Gorgal

I know man, reading the terms and conditions is very hard.

  • http://twitter.com/kr1nz kr1nz

There is a gap between terms amd common sense. I didn’t said they can’t do it…i said that doing that makes no sense in a ethical way.
I’m pretty sure they can even make you pay a lot of money if you want to keep with the account (just an example)..and do you think that doing it would be fair?

  • Big Ron

Non-ethical way? You shouldn´t expect to get the same amount of content for 10€ like someone who spend 100€. That´s not non-etichal, that´s just fair.

Your attitude to want the same game for less money than others is non-etichal.

  • http://twitter.com/kr1nz kr1nz

I didn’t said that getting more content because of paying more is non-etichal…i said that chaning the things as the project goes, in that way, is non-ethical.

  • Alejandro Gorgal

When they do that, we’ll talk, until then they haven’t changed anything. Again, if you had read the project’s description you would know that it was always in the plan to provide the higher tiers with exclusive content.

  • http://twitter.com/arronskis arronski

MW Z4 GT3 yes this game is getting way good :)

  • http://twitter.com/kr1nz kr1nz

I know, but I didn’t expected to be in that way. Whatever, everyone plays what they want and pays what they want…I’m not going to keep a discussion because there is no end on it.

  • Eric Zehnder

With iRacing you pay a monthly subscription fee whether you use the service or not. Besides the very limited amount of cars and tracks in that base price, every new car and track costs money ($12, usually) so you end up paying hundreds for a racing game.

Project CARS is community-funded so $10 won’t get you everything in testing or from the final product.

I say upgrade because it’s worth it and becoming a Full Member gets you everything now, the game itself when it launches, and free DLC going forward all for the price of any regular game.

  • http://www.facebook.com/gulyopapa Gulyás Tamás

    BMW’s wow !!!! :DDDDDD
FFB is much better from now !!!

  • Big Ron

They always mention in the forum when terms & condition change and most things changed when they switched their system from free3play to retail. So I see no problem there.

  • http://www.facebook.com/gulyopapa Gulyás Tamás

    Race Room Experience ? HOW ??? :)

  • wakeup suckers

You paid 10€. Add 15€ and become team member.
I started as a junior like you and I upgraded to team member after two months because I want to have access to all the stuff and changes that were coming with weekly builds. Just do the same: upgrade if you can.
Terms of subscription are clear: junior got monthly updates and no access to exclusive cars and exclusive tracks.

  • hoodge1

Gotta agree with you on that one kr1nz. That announcement went all over every forum like 5 months ago..A no go statement. Seems like a PR problem or simply they changed their minds.. I seen the poll the other day if People wanna another WMD project to happen? What Cars 2 2 years from release of Cars 1. Let’s just see how successful Pcars 1 is first before jumping on a second one soon. I mean it was just a poll and possibly on a whole different game. SMS are gonna get into FPS? Beats me.

  • hoodge1

Big Ron you got a problem with someone voicing their opinion? My My. Chill out.. You sound mad dude. Just chill. Not everyone has to see it your way.

  • hoodge1

Don’t bother wasting your time kr1nz.. Rabid fanboys will quash any possible negative feedback and I seen none coming from your comments..

  • hoodge1

Only problem with your statement is “You get what you pay for”. Iracing is a true sim and one of the best. You get a ton of value with being a member. New updates every season. New laser scanned tracks no one can compete with except Kuno’s with AC, New cars coming along that take months for one model to complete and work on the physics. Best online community service no one can compete with except rFactor.

I can spend 30 bucks taking my girl to a movie without the popcorn and pop.

  • hoodge1

should of waited to release those cars with the interiors finished. Physics are aweful.. Drove each one 2 laps each around hockenheim and that was it for me. SMS gotta forget about the eye candy now and focus on physics and I can’t wait to see what this new tire model is gonna do for the sim. They needed to focus on like a house, the physics first. Not eye candy. House needs a foundation and framework needed and mechanical done first before the Exterior and Interior walls get that nice gloss paint job..Not impressed with those Beemers yet.

  • hoodge1

Looks sounds like you are a simcade racer. Forza/GT5 fan. Ya you can have the best looking broad in your arms and if she’s only good for one thing (I won’t mention that, you can figure it out), and she’s a moody, unhappy broad in the inside, you gonna have fun? Ya shiny waxed cars are definately more fun then driving them hey? Sim racing is about feel and physics first. Graphics can come later..Getting blinded by the eye candy makes your comment worthless.

  • nameless

m1 looks stunning, even better than the already good model from Shift 2.

  • hoodge1

Shift 3 is it’s name. I don’t even know if I can even call it a simcade. Arcade like you said is what I’m seeing each and every build. Gonna sell well on Consoles. PC? Meh, i’m not sure. AC comes out, everyone will forget about Pcars..

  • hoodge1

I know how it’s gonna turn out? We’ve seen their past SMS projects. Horrific flop of a TDFL release. It still won’t dethrone GT5 nor FM4 as best simcade racer.. Not gonna happen in overall sales either. FFB is better on some cars..That horrible chatter when braking and even when you don’t lock up the brakes is just aweful. Still no feel. I’m waiting for this hype talked about on the NTM they got planned, then I’ll reserve judgement..

  • hoodge1

Doesn’t look that good ingame…These screenshots are photoshopped.

  • punkfest2000

FFB has reached a turning point with this build. Most of the cars are feeling really good now. I’m impressed with the progress, and the nice thing is…it’s going to get even better. The best of both worlds…beautiful, and feels great.

  • wakeup suckers

From what I’ve read in the WMD forum the most asked project after pCARS is pRALLY, in a DLC format or as a standalone game. In the forum people talk about pCARS 2 only thinking of the stuff that can’t be included in the actual pCARS. Another “most wanted” are the hill climbs.
If I don’t rember wrong that poll wasn’t about pCARS 2, but about another WMD project in general, that could be everything, even a different kind of game, like a FPS as you said.
And I said: if pCARS will be good as we want, why not? But first we have to put our hands over pCARS, then we’ll decide about giving them other money. :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/stuart.fields.9 Stuart Fields

Are you kidding me, dethrone GT5 or FM4. Do you know the difference in budgets compared with project cars??? GT5 and FM4 had budgets of over $40 million (talk has it that GT5′s budget was in excess of $60 million!) while project cars has a community raised budget with sponsor additions of $3 million. Come on, give credit where its due. I am not that taken with project cars myself but I certainly recognise A: The effort that’s going in and the quality that is coming out and B: that this is still a long long way from release. Lets get a little perspective here. It may not be for a lot of people in the end and may disappoint but at least wait for something approaching final before putting the last nail in the coffin.

  • Raphael Smith

What no none of those shots are photoshopped. My ingame looks A LOT better than that actually. http://www.flickr.com/photos/15539352@N02/sets/72157627926694442/?page=11

No, that is not true! Those are untouched in-game shots.

Friendly warning, please dial down your trolling. This isn’t Racedepartment, you can’t just go berserk in here.

You`re of course free to dislike pCARS but once you start purposely spreading misinformation I will take action. Please don’t taint what can be a constructive discussion.

My neighbour once said to me “you clean that bike so much the paint will fall off”,

My tyre fitter once said “wow, those tyres used up quickly, you must ride the wheels off this thing”

Which one of your little boxes do I fit into?

  • Arie Beuker, de

    That looks just awesome!

So now you can’t appreciate nice graphics if you want to be considered a sim racer?

  • Anonymous

Another one of those accounts that were created exclusively for making a stink in VR pCARS news discussions. It’s getting kind of old…

  • Anonymous

I really am not understanding what is so exciting about the graphics, I’m not a fan. The cars do not match the scenes at all, since when are cars, especially race cars, made of glass? It just looks awkward.

  • punkfest2000

Why don’t you tell us how much you spent on iRacing so far?

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

    Quit yer flamebaiting hoodge1.

  • Ricoo

Those two cars are indeed looking awesome and with some reduced wheel sensitivity driving them can be enjoyable.

I hope for some improvements in FFB, and with the new NTM maybe pCARS could become a really great sim. :)

  • Marco

FFB is much better. Still, I feel I am missing input from the road to the car. But as far as the driving only, the FFB is much improved. It needs to transmit more info about the car status, once that’s done it will be OK.

  • hoodge1

RaceDepartment? What are you talking about Race Department? No this is VIR. I know.. And no trolling was ever mentioned in any comments I made on here. Proof read em all. No insults. No nothing except opinion, my opinion if that counts and others in here as well. Oh I’m a tester for em as well and i wouldn’t express my opinion on this latest build as deemed false and a lie.

So I hope respectfully, you don’t go calling a person with a heartfelt opinion a troll. Word isn’t fitting..

  • hoodge1

What do you use for screenshot software? I’d like to know. Do you make Pcars vids? I do? Use Fraps and it works just as good as any video capturing software could. Screenshots are awesome too.

  • pez2k .

This is the very first export of the BMW meshes so of course they’re not finished, graphics, sounds or physics. Sadly I think you fall into the category of ‘wilfully ignorant’ rather than simply uninformed, looking at your other comments.

  • Anonymous

How dare you have an opinion about a game the company he works for is creating!

  • Anonymous

Point of fact is that graphics are system-dependent. Just because your particular system isn’t capable of running the game at max res, doesn’t mean others can’t. These screenies are perfectly representative of my particular installation, and running at ~50fps to boot.

  • hoodge1

No one is putting the final nail in the coffin on Pcars. As I’ve stated numerous times already on this post, I’m looking forward to seeing their new tire model.
Let’s not talk about budgets okay? I’m not talking about sales. I’m talking about the whole package, the quality, and the fun factor it will give to the console market. CARS is by far the most Drop deal looking game in development without a DOUBT. If they play their cards right and make a game they promised us from the beginning, then I’m gonna be dancing with joy.

Nobody wants it to not be successful.. WE ALL want it to be. The potential is outstanding. But I’m seeing mainly graphics progress, and this build I saw FFB with some of the cars was a progress in the right direction. I’am seeing potential. NTM is gonna be the final judging point. If they don’t rush this game to market and iron everything out, I see a hit for SMS..

But my hopes are hangin right now, and so I’m not gonna be like anybody in here who is gonna deem it successful. Good to be positive. Also good to reserve the predictions till it is close to being finished. I would hate to put my foot in my mouth if it doesn’t succeed.

Is this trolling Montoya? Sound peaceable and respectful enough to you? I sounded more positive then negative. And I speak from the heart..

  • Anonymous

If you follow the discussion on WMD, you’ll have seen the discussion regarding water droplets on the car bodies. And then you’ll realize that the “glossy” look will be amply dealt with, in all good time.

  • hoodge1

Modern it goes for any sim.. Go to ISI forums and see the flamebaiting on that title. Need some other examples..No if you don’t see an opinion other then someone making a stink then you got to consider all the Sims that are being developed going through their share of critisisms as well. Can’t have it both ways. My opinion is what it is. I hope they sell a boatload of Pcars on consoles.. The console needs this kind of game to keep Turn 10 and PD on their feet. Wake up call.

  • hoodge1

    very true comment indeed..

  • hoodge1

around 700 bills. and got my every cent out of it.. Like I said in times past. “You get what you pay for.” I wouldn’t continue throwing money at iRacing if it wasn’t that good. It’s a premier sim. Not a title..I will continue throwing money at it.. My business and my utimate entertainment..

  • hoodge1

Now F1 racer read my comment above. House needs a foundation and framework first. True or false? Now listen to pez2k. Troll comment yes or no? calling me ignorant. No trolling was found in my comment. Moderate better F1 before you call anyone a troll.

Just some wise advice. This example here calling me ignorant is an example of sensitivity. Nothing more, and need not be said.

  • Alejandro Gorgal

“I dont like this game because of X and Y” is a perfectly aceptable opinion; “These screenshots are photoshopped.” is hardly an opinion, it’s a lie and an accusation stated as a fact.
Especially when the title has been around months and has hundreds of pictures and videos widely available on the net.

  • Alejandro Gorgal

Why can’t all your comments be like this man? It’s much easier to carry a conversation when it’s done this way.

Now this is a comment deemed correcting. Not only can I run pcars at vsync (use G27 wheel plus a set of fanatec CSR elite pedals with it so no lag input at all locked at 60fps for my wheel), BUT i’ve got 16 cars enabled on track and every possible graphics setting maxed.

Eracerhead, how can you presumeably know what my 2 PC regs specs are by making a comment like that friend..Don’t presume, ask first before telling me I don’t have a PC beast enough to run this. Mine eats Pcars for breakfast. Nuff said.

  • hoodge1

Ya I know the mods in here (or 1 or them) works for SMS. This site is controlled by SMS. Funny tho, they cover all the sims in here and I wonder how they mod the rF2, GSC2012, iRacing, AC, Simbin threads in here. Can a troll go in those threads and start upsetting people and get away with it?

Since none of my comments were trolling, insulting, or rude, except the responses back to me, could all this pent up sensitivity be caused because of ill confidence in this Project. I mean you say anything concretely negative and your right away a troll..lol’s.

Now people if you are not confident, wouldn’t it be fitting that you’d jump on someone with the sensitivity i feel in here. EVERY sim has their critics and haters NO matter what. Everyone is gonna have a different opinion on every game out there. No fanboy wars needed. Constructive critisim is gonna always be around. Get used to it.

  • hoodge1

Those screenshots must of been taken with a monitor capable of 2560p resolution. If then ya I can see it.. Your argument is still a little over the deep end. Now I’m a liar..oh my my.

  • hoodge1

Love gorgous graphics..If you like doing screenshots and stuff and painting cars like just some Forza fans do and care nothing for the racing then YA gorgous graphics are great. Do you like for an illustration like Icing with NO cake? I’ll take the cake..

  • hoodge1

Personally U steppin, I gotta agree. Hope after 5 laps they show rubber marbles plastered on them and when they go off the track they get dirty. How about those armor alled tires even on the contact patch. Watch a replay and they don’t even look scuffed. Simulation can be brought into those examples as well.. Not saying they won’t address that later, but right now I’m looking at a car show auction with the 10 layers of wax.

Bet the graphics are gonna get better yet then this. Replay sounds are just annoying on the engines and the same camera angles around the tracks for every lap. Hate that about iRacing as well. Cept they give you three different camera’s to look at at least..Like GT5, they gotta change the camera’s for 3 laps and then loop em again..

  • hoodge1

    hope your right.

  • hoodge1

Listen Alejandro. I make YT vids about Pcars and do commentaries in them as well. I give the positive feedback with far less critism. I have Pcars fans thumbing up my vids cause I speak what I see. They appreciate my honesty.. I wouldn’t be a pro sim racer had I just started last year. I’ve been doing this ever since the days of Papyrus friend. Remember Papyrus? I know my stuff. I also know how to give negative feedback as well, and again people gotta be able to handle it, cause us vetrans aren’t dummies and oblivious to any sim that comes out on the market.

I’ve tested them all and will not reserve final judgement on CARS as a hit or flop at this point in time. They are only half done, but i’m not seeing a sim at this point in time..What do you play Alejandro besides cars? Use a wheel or pad? What do you deem sim to mean and arcade or simcade?

  • TheRoggan

These car does look stunning!! Awesome cars for racing as well!

The M1 sounds really good too!

Unfortunately for me the sound and eye candy was only good enough to entertain me for about 30 minutes before I got bored after flying of the track a few times as soon as I managed to get any oversteer going on by the car just shooting of without any hints and no possibility to correct… Then I went back to Race Room, Game Stock Car and rF2 for the rest of the day.

Once they get the new handling and tire model out and dialed in all this fantastic content with tracks and cars will get a completely new life. In my oppinion that is the make or brake for most sim racers which they just have to get right for pCars to succeed in the end. The competition now is just too good with Assetto corsa around the corner and Race Room exceeding even high expectation, not to mention the awesome rF2!

  • Anonymous

With the release of Simbins Race Room teaser, which in general had good/ positive feedback from those who had tried it, the pressure will be on SMS, as both Sim bin & SMS are now showing us their new engines, it makes one wonder who was the brains behind the old sim bin development team.

You need to read better before you level accusations at people.
    I didn’t say you were a troll, I said to stop flame-baiting.
Some of your recent posts are simply antagonising.
You’ve criticised me and also stated that this site is owned by SMS which, if you haven’t already read, I’ve said that I won’t be tolerating (hence that post was removed).

  • wakeup suckers

    Man, are you serious?
PCARS is still in alpha and they release the BMWs to collect feedbacks from the members, just as they did for the other cars and the tracks. Just think of the first export of the nordschleife or the monaco gp, where we had only a tarmac road with nothing else.
PCARS is this: a community of players and developers who cooperate together to make the game better and better.
It’s not difficult to understand how it works and now it’s clear you don’t know what you are talking about. You are just trolling.

  • Big Ron

The strong reflections and over-glossy look is caused by missing ambient occlusion map since it´s the first export of the car models in an unfinished state.

  • Big Ron

If you call me fanboy, I call you troll. You posted a lot of aggressive and inciting comments in this article and need to comment nearly every positive post here just to stand up again enkoying users. He can have what ever opinion he wants. But his comment just shows that he is uninformed and has no idea about the changing process of term and conditions and missed to re-read it again when the game concept was changed.

  • Anonymous

Nah I wasn’t referring to just the BMW screenshots, they all look like this, at least the 31 galleries on the home page. Assetto Corsa has the same style going on too.

  • Big Ron

For my personal taste they are also too strong in some situations. Especially the reflectiones in shaded areas are still a problem. But for the gallery screens: a lot players use FXAA injectors wih customizations in pCARS which cause some really unnatural contrasts and depth, also for the reflections. I mostly don´t like it, but at least it it´s their decision to use it and it doesn´t look the same in the stock game.

What gives you the right to start slagging off a fellow race sim web site? “Constructive discussion”….only when it suits you…

  • daz

    OK then. If someone says…

    “IMO, the images are photoshopped”

this is then an opinion and not a lie or accusation. It’s all in the grammar.

@MontoyaVR – Hope you’re moderating all comment blogs in this way, and not just telling folks to behave in PCARS threads.

Download Steam and then get the RRRE teaser that SimBin have made available (about 1.3GB). http://game.raceroom.com/
Running using the sims ‘amateur’ mode (TCS and ABS by default), with 1 car – Aquila CR1 Sports GT and 1 track – RaceRoom Raceway.

Can’t wait for this Project to be deemed done and over with so you guys can go on with your lives..

Now Silly enough with the Pee Pee garbage..

no one trolled you Big ron. Just told you people are entitled to their opinions and to chill out. If that sounds like trolling, then the problem rests with you. TNT packed.

  • Kendra Jacobs

Even with an improved tyre model I just dont think the core physics modelling in general is going to be up to the task of competeing with rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa.

rFactor 1 didnt have the best tyre modelling, especially in some mods, but you could still in general feel the core general physics as pretty good and “hardcore”, regardless of any tyre model flaws there may have been, but Project Cars on the other hand just straight up feels arcade being tuned to try to replicate a sim, rather than a proper sim being developed.

Thats why I dont believe a new tyre model is going to be as good as people are hoping. Sure it will allow the ffb to be better and feel the car more in order to correct the car, sure people who dont know any better are going to rave about the game once the new tyre model brings great improvements, but I think the core physics of the game will still feel too simplified and video gamieish.

You cant go get Need for Speed Underground or Ridge Racer or Burnout Revenge and just slap on some advanced new tyre model and now all of a sudden its a glorious sim with proper deep complex vehicle dynamics modelling. Dont people realise this? I guess not. I j ust dont know why so many people are so brainwashed and sucked into the idea of just slapping on a new tyre model to fix everything, its called marketing and SMS keeping peoples hopes up because they are in this for the money. If thats the case, then you can just go slap on a new tyre model on anything and all of a sudden it will be a great sim.

Im sorry but it doesnt work that way.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Shawn-Rice/100000220056850 Shawn Rice

I can’t wait to try them!! Also the FFB improvements!

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

You can carry on claiming that you’re just giving your opinions but sometimes your opinions are provoking others and yes, insulting.
You told one guy hiis post was ‘worthless’.

Then you say “This site is insanely bizarre from all the others. No Grip is crazy insane as well..” A thinly disguise to, once again, accuse this site of being under SMS’s control because NoGrip is also being accused of that recently. I`ve already told you once about making those accusations and I won’t repeat myself again.

“Listen son and moderators” – where do you get off telling the moderators of this site what to do ? That stuff is going to put you on thin ice from the outset. SillyCone’s comment wasn’t trolling in my opinion, he was simply, although colourfully, stating that the conversation you were involved in is like a one-upmanship contest. Not the most mature of comments but, then again, it had nothing to do with ignorance which is something you keep ranting about. Anyway the comment has been removed along with your reply to it. You need to realise that your comments are the catalyst for these kind of replies.

Yes, there is sensitivty around pCARS and boy do you play on that.
Comments about images being photoshopped (when you clearly know they aren’t) and that it’s arcade (or this childish ‘simcade’ word that get’s used these days and sounds like a drink for sim-racers.) or that it’s ‘Shift 3′. That is flamebaiting because you know how people are going to react to it. Some peoples definitions of ‘arcade’ are so beyond what arcade really is that the term is pretty much pointless to be used with any game that gets posted on VR or other similar sim sites.
You want to criticise it, fine, but find a better and more constructive way to do it.

You contradict yourself too. You state that you want SMS to take their time to develop pCARS so it can be the best it can be. But at the same time you moan that the graphics are concentrated on and not the physics. Well maybe this is how they are developing the game. They know more about that process than we do and we all know there’s a newer tyre model coming. But some people just don’t want to allow them that time. You stated you would reserve judgement until the NTM comes out and yet you slag it off as being arcade.
Another contradiction is that you own pCARS, make YT vids and claim you have a rig that can run it flat out. Yet you question screenshots as photoshopped. Screens that you know you could reproduce yourself with Fraps.

So basically, you’ve seen how many people you are having to defend your comments to. That should tell you that maybe something is not so good with what you are sometimes posting. My advice is for you to cool it off a little and try to be less antagonistic.

  • Kendra Jacobs

FFB doesnt mean physics modelling of the complex vehicle dynamics, dont let some good feelings in your wheel blind and brainwash you.

  • Alejandro Gorgal

“What do you play Alejandro besides cars?”
iRacing (not so much lately, haven’t got the time), rFactor 2, LFS.

    “Use a wheel or pad?”
    Logitech G27, no assists.

“What do you deem sim to mean and arcade or simcade?”
My favorite sim continues to be LFS, followed by iRacing though the completely unrealistic lack of grip on the grass continues to annoy me, on the asphalt is mostly fine if sometimes a bit unpredictable. pCARS when driving the Lotus 49 feels pretty damn sim-ish to me, there a still some very well documented issues such as the transient grip though.
Arcade: Something with scripted physics, such as Burnout Paradise where a key combination can activate a drift mode on and off.
Simcade: Shift series, I guess you could sorta put Grid here too and a personal favorite, Toca 3.

  • David

The FFB with my GT3 RS V2 is so much better! I can actually feel when the front end loses grip. Also seems to have quite a bit more definition. Still not awesome but it’s sure getting there.

  • Eric Zehnder

This is a common sentiment for newly released cars as they have only had most visuals finished and a “first pass” on physics. The BMWs won’t drive much like they currently do once the physical modelling is done and a new tire model.

  • Eric Zehnder

So, if the new tire model (called Seta Tire Model) improves feel and realism as far as carcass modelling plus the FFB feels great and the lap times and general performance are the same as real world cars, it still won’t be a true hardcore sim in your opinion?

Just don’t play it then, Kendra. It’s the same thing every comment from you.

  • Eric Zehnder

My first test with the new build was disastrous but I could only play for a few minutes. I came back to it a few hours later, made sure I restarted and cleared my FFB tweaker files (so everything was default to the newest build) and it was SOOO much better.

I’m not a fan of the understeer/braking test that was rolled out but everyone knows it’s a test so once scaled back it should work well. As far as feeling the grip it is several times better than before and I would say right in line with iRacing at this point.

  • Big Ron

Don´t you think it´s stupid to take NFS Underground and Ridge Racer as a comparison with pCARS, which is build up on Shift 2 which had much more advanced physics codes than any Ridge Racer or Underground.

And yes, you can turn a arcade game into a sim by changing elementary codes in the engine.

  • Big Ron

You need to chill out. I didn´t speak about trolling me since I don´t care. But you are trolling in general in this article and that´s the bizarre thing on this site….people disturbing discussions and conversations with aggressive comments to incite people, especially on pCARS-articles.

The destruction of a product during the development nothing more this blog’s.
I would like to understand why some things just death be discussed before they are finished. Imagine times we would have access to the development of a real car and these are likely to drive. Believe people not that many your beloved hot models problems would prepare the development and which may not your concepts according to the behavior. This is just not right, a product during the development dead to talk, instead of being grateful a part of which to be, it is entered and destroyed. A certain is not bad. When one thinks only of his ego and own intrests and not on the manufacturers and their future, it is very simple an egoist and not fair. No matter whether you like it or not, let the people in their harmony work make or help with your opinion. To do so in the right forum and not in the general public. Should people not like the final product they should let the people in calm and the fun many people will have with it. These discussionen are not good, neither the community nor the manufacturers, in particular for the manufacturers. No one forces anyone to buy something or to have. People should think about it and do better things they like as to complicate things for anybody who people have nothing bad done. On the contrary ( SMS ) these people are among those which have made race sims eligible for the public.Sorry for my bad english.

Not a very nice thing to say Rob… As the admin of a site, it would think its not smart to attack other websites. You of all people should know its not the site that generates comments, but its users. ( To be frankly, people have said some nasty things in here, just as on any forum, or blog.)

For those ready to attack… its just my personal opinion.

  • Tiago Lapa

Your point is flawed because graphics technology gets outdated every month and physics technologies takes years to develop. So its wiser (..or not ;)) to develop first physics engine and then finish the project with top of art visuals.

  • http://www.facebook.com/dominguezolaondo David Dominguez Olaondo

Lol, talking about constructive discussions while attacking another simracing website. Priceless once again.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

I would. Especially if its someone who also may have the potential to contribute something constructive and/or positive.
Anyway, no danger so far, so as long as the comment rules are kept to, it`ll be fine.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

    I agree with Eric.
You can see from the changelogs how pCARS, (and probably other sims) develops. The graphics and physics engine is there and cars get added with a certain level of physics then as the game develops physics tweaks occur all the way through. I don’t think you can just code a physics engine then drop cars into it without programming physics for each car. And as you can see, cars are being added all the time so are at different stages of completion.

Cars that have been there since the start are still getting tweaks even now. I`d rather have that than popping in a car and forgetting about it while visuals take all of the priority.

Even if graphics technology gets outdated they still have to use the engine they settled on and we all see it finished on the same date.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

Agreed. Same wheel as you and same feelings. Much more of a raw feeling.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

Not sure of all what you said, but the bits I understood I agree with.
The way some people go on about pCARS anyone would think it was an unfinished product.

  • hoodge1

The core followers of this game inevitably will be that of the console fans. I don’t think it’s a bad thing for a game like this to come out. You can never have enough racing games as you see the bombardment amounts of FPS and killing games being the core audience these days.

Really, tho even tho I don’t have a huge amount of faith in this game Kendra, it is still worthy to let SMS finish this project and when they announce the new tire model, give it a chance to see how good it will feel. Just might blow us all away.

I sound hard in some of my comments about Pcars being this and that. I’ve bought and supported them in all their SMS titles. GTR2 and GTL being amazing for their days and still love em. Was very disappointed with their efforts with EA with their Shift series. Gorgous graphics caught my attention. Came to playing it and I was like, “What am I driving?”

Now testing Pcars it is a HUGE improvement over Shift as they don’t have any publishers breathing down their necks. They are free to make Pcars as good as they want it to be. I think everyone is going back to the Shift days (even I) and not letting it go.

I reserve final judgement till the end and am gonna give them the benefit of the doubt.. They deserve that much..

  • hoodge1

“Stupid” big Ron? To Kendra? I sense anger in your comments. Lighten up Big guy.

  • hoodge1

Awesome, Awesome vids Raphael..Tell me.. I’m out on the loop on what you are using to make these closeup and amazing effects. I use Sony Vegas Pro 11 for video editing. Is their a video editor for C.A.R.S. or am I just missing it? I mean replay doesn’t give you any of that?

  • Anonymous

    Indeed.

  • http://www.facebook.com/steve.shears.37 Steve Shears

hoodge1 you seem to know a lot, but not enough. You, with your mega PC should know you can enable other elements to make the games look that good and run with those graphics IN GAME. So yeah those graphics work in-game either by using a higher res, or hell even downsampling, or HELL using NVi. The only effect you’d even bother to add is a vignette and the game can do that too – and pretty well. You don’t need PS for this game. But i don’t need to type this because you already know.

  • Alejandro Gorgal

So from what we can see now each car takes several months to complete (visuals only), having considered that you are suggesting that they work on the physics only (while the art team is what? unemployed?) for a couple of years, and once that’s done start working on the art.
Result: the game takes 6 years to make and costs twice as much to develop.

Im certainly glad you are not running things..

  • Tiago Lapa

I say that by now they should have good physics because that’s what matter in car simulation. I don’t say they should work on one area a time, or the art team should wait to start working. Sorry your are dumb. They should focus on physics because this is simulation of racing and not simulation of photography.

  • Tiago Lapa

Of course you can’t drop cars and hope to magically work like a charm because of multiple variables or errors of calculation.

  • Raphael Smith

Thanks! I use the free form camera in project cars(ctrl-f) to record my own camera angles using fraps. I then put together the clips in Sony Vegas Pro 11 as well. I don’t add any extra effects though. It’s all straight from gameplay and unedited graphics wise.

Wow Hoodge…your the best…ever. I thank you for the education you’ve provided us on what constitutes a sim, how to spot a photoshopped screenshot, and your ability to predict future sales of PCARs. You have, after all, been around since the days of Papyrus, which would automatically grant you acclaimed expertise. We shouldn’t get upset at your criticisms as of course, you make PCARS videos on YT. It’s good to have someone in here who’s got it all figured out for the rest of us.

  • hoodge1

Okay so there is a free roaming cam option I didn’t know about. Thought so. I thought maybe it was in the toolkit for purchase. I’ll have to give that a try.. Gonna sub your channel as well.. Ya sorry for the misconception I stated at the start about your work being photoshopped. Do you have a 3 screen setup?

Something I wanna do, but have dropped a lot of coin on a high quality racing cockpit and on top notch PC hardware.. Next year is probably when I’m gonna do a three screen setup.

Thanks for that free form camera angle option. I’m not an experienced video editor, but learning and enjoying making vids even tho they are far from what you can do. I find it a lot of fun with Vegas and Fraps. Awesome work again and my apologies for the bumpy start of saying this looks photoshopped and that..My monitor only supports 1080p, and with fraps my video’s and screenshots look amazing as is. But with much higher resolution, I can now see how these gorgous photo’s were taken.. Peace.

  • Raphael Smith

No worries. No I just have a single 1080p screen but I play most of my games in 1440p. I really wish I had 3 though! I’m looking forward to when headsets like the oculus rift become cheap and good quality tho as that will be easier than setting 3 screens up. I’ve just started making vids as well. Those are actually the first videos I’ve ever edited so it’s a learning process for sure.

My favorite part of this build is all the additional trackside assets they finally put on notLaguna. Sure the BMW’s and improved FFB are pretty cool and all too but… having a track coming along and looking better is what I like to see. Especially one I have raced on for real. Now if we could get all the bridges that belong over that track I’ll have a good majority of my brake point references back. :)

Small gripe, SMS have said they are already upgrading to a new version of physx, Why couldnt they previous versions ffb right, not even to rfactor standards, very odd. Oh and not to impressed you need to be team member + to be able to get Nordschleife & Bmw’s, Maybe if the game drivable that would be all fair and good, otherwise it just feels like they want to rob me.

Well great work. Ya it’s a lot of fun, and there are some dam good

  • Big Ron

What do you expect for a reaction with someone using Ridge Racer or Underground in an explanation for physics of pCARS. We all know that there is a lot of difference and this comment and comparison didn´t make any sense at all. Kendra is well known to not find any good words for pCARS in any article.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

paul, your last deleted post broke the rules. You were flamebaiting and trolling and did it in a 3 word post.
We are not going to tolerate those kind of comments here.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

It’s not odd, it’s called ‘development’.
Dunno why you’re surprised about the members structure. You pay more, you get more. If the game isn’t drivable for you why on Earth would you want the Nords and the Beemers ? You’d only have more things to get annoyed with.

  • kosmo1982

But giving the same content to people who paid 25 Euro and 100 Euro is fair. Or compare 100 Euro and 1000 Euro, should they get the same content?? there is no logic in your post.
That was just dirty move to get more money. It has nothing to do with whats fair. Besides i understood i wasnt buying a product. I was helping to fund a sim and now suddenly im being told how much content is worth 10 Euro. It indicates i was just buying a game. Or maybe it was investment and those who paid more will get more revenues…i think im getting lost here. SMS will tell you whats suitable for them in given situation.

  • http://twitter.com/fordxr8fpv paul

So having an opinion is trolling, it was actually a few sentences and not offensive why not just leave it?. This is shocking!. It was honestly not a 3 word post at all he is actually lying WOW.

PhysX has nothing to do with the driving model

  • Anonymous

Really….right in line with iracing?:, god help use then, when they complete their new tyre model, it’ll be unplayable for most of use then, it would be more than realistic, god some of the over hyped comments here, has become a joke.

  • speed1

Those one destroy pCars before it is fine. Even if it will never like someone expect, that is not good and fair related to the developer. This goes for all and every project in the horizon. I don’t get it why someone couldn’t be stay neutral and fair how it should be for a reasonably human. If i catch something bad, i will never write it down here. We have the possibility to talk directly with the developer and there is no need to badmouth a unfinished product in the public. What is sometimes going on here is simply reputational damage, nothing less.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

OK paul, you need to calm down this attitude of yours.
Firstly comments are not deleted without a trace, they are logged, and the only one I saw of yours that was deleted was the one that said “this Scam, lol”.
So you must be referring to a different post that I am not aware of, so I am not LYING !!

Having an opinion is NOT an excuse to post whatever you want.
Just because it’s an opinion doesn’t make it ok. That’s what needs to be understood. Your opinion still has to be within the rules.

So whatever this post was of yours it’s not in our deleted list so I have no evidence of it.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

You are quite right. It’s not a very tolerable or forgiving community at times.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

I’ve just taken a look at all your previous comments and there is one you made last week(!) about you wishing SMS hadn’t bought out this site. Is that the one you are referring to ?
If it is then take a guess why it’s not there anymore.
In the pCARS build 291 thread you made three pretty similar comments about the physics. Now you’ve made yet another one along the same lines here. Why do you keep repeating yourself ?

  • nameless

    indeed
    very uncalled for

“Focus” on physics ? The Physics guys focus 100% on physics. So you mean hire more physics devs ? They already did with AJ.

  • Olivier Prenten

I have some difficulties to believe SMS can create spot on physics for every car they introduce! I can be wrong of course!

  • Guest

Hire whatever you need. Hes not good.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

HistorX did a pretty good job with less resources.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

You don’t know ? Even if you haven’t tried it you must have read things.

  • Tospos

Yeah I try all Cars in P cars and Physics is now really better / I got full member…

Isn’t that something, Simbin (who I like) releases a simple one track, very arcade type teaser and it receives Great Positive feedback and all support it! The track is Fantasy, the car can not be run w/o TC and or ABS. Handles much like GTR Evo yet is more on the very general side of Amateurish at best yet all is will; and all is well with the Sim World!
Take SMS’s pCARS developing with an Open Alpha product, working with any and all membership levels and getting Bashed for it DAILY! Even though they’re trying their damndest to develop Real Life Tracks, Real Life Car Licenses, and to date the Best Physic model of any new game except maybe rF2; but is trashed no matter the announcement. Note: I’m not counting Physic Model that can not be tested… though I know we have some Sim Experts that can properly Analyze Physics in a You Tube Video!
Well. I have 5 Senior Level Memeberships for pCARS and I’m very proud to be helping this World Class; Ground Breaking; Sim Racer Development…. Effort!
    Hooorah SMS!

His physics work isn’t in the public builds yet, so how would YOU know ?

Your opinion has to be within out totalitarianism, Cant believe people thumbs up you up. If my comment wasnt true you wouldn’t have deleted it end of story. F1Racer put the comment back since it doesn’t reign true. As long as I’m a customer of this game I’m going to have my opinion, Why would I just attack for no reason?, I dont complain on netkar & rfactor 2 post.

  • http://twitter.com/fordxr8fpv paul

They cant even get the physics right on one car. SMS is not HistorX, No offense.

Very arcade? considering it’s simbins first product (No ISI engine) using their new engine, I would say they have done way better than SMS, who has produced three titles on their new mad engine so far, all three titles getting negative press reviews.

GTR Evo feels better than the shift series, even with a game pad.

You are getting the teaser, that was shown in this years gamescom.

The track is Fantasy?……Good i hope they & SMS produce more fantasy tracks for their products, with Assetto corsa, rFactor2, Race room, Pcars & Reiza Studios, all releasing new sims, wouldn’t it be boring if they all focused on F1 or WTCC type tracks, more street circuits like GT5 & Forza i say, not that i own those two titles.
Good that you’re helping them, make a better product, Ever heard the saying, “Too many cooks spoil the broth.”

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

Your comment about SMS buying out this site isn’t true and it’s trolling which is why it was removed. Read this post of mine…
    http://www.virtualr.net/project-cars-build-291-available#comment-637840112

Everyone has opinions, you are not unique in that. But some opinions are best kept to yourself rather than annoying other people with them.

You don’t complain on netker and rF2…… what does that mean, that you only post on pCARS threads so you can complain ?

So after reading my post on that link, are you still asking me to put back your post that says you wish SMS hadn’t bought out this site ?

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

I’m sure for you it will still ‘suck lol’ then. Others have a more open mind and a bit more patience towards the process of game development.

  • Alejandro Gorgal

PhysX is only used when the cars are airborne, like for example when you crash and your car flies around, and it’s also used on the physics for track side objects that you can crash into such as road cones and so on. It has nothing to do with the actual driving physics.

  • Eric Zehnder

The Lotus 49, Caterham R500, and Ariels all feel amazing. The Formula A and Rookie (Ford) as well as several others feel very good despite none of the physics being set in stone or anything close to it.

Considering how early the game is in development, I have faith that many of these cars will be amazing. Do I expect every single car to be perfect? No but neither will any game with more than a couple cars.

  • Eric Zehnder

When they release a new tire model it’ll make the game unplayable? Why would that be the case? They are already testing the new tire model and haven’t released it because it’s not ready.

Might I remind you that Force Feedback is terribly subjective as very few people have driven any of the real cars in real life. Add to that different wheels, different settings preferences, different driving styles, and differing views of what “feels real” and you are left with?? An Opinion.

And this line: “I would say right in line with iRacing at this point” is my opinion based on my time with both games. They both offer very communicative feedback though pCARS does have some aspects that need work and some cars are much better and some are much worse. The definition of a Work In Progress.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jaimy.mewe Jaimy Mewe

Really? Normally i see you bashing pCars, screaming physics are horrible and arcade, and now all of a sudden a trial demo locked to the amateur driving model, with alot of driving aids applied is wow? You`re a clueless hypocrite…

I know mate, sim-racers are not an easily pleased crowd. I guess it’s in the chemistry and we are probably the most unforgiving and demanding community of any gaming genre – at least that I’ve ever come across.
It’s funny that the the game that is the least complete gets the most critics. Yeah I can’t work it out either.

  • C4

But they do work the way they do.

Also, they are adding cars to get more people into buying memberships. Content sells games…

Well said RKipker as for me I rarely read this stuff anymore from the haters it is getting really old and dragged out. If I were to say something to these so called haters it would be something like go suck eggs rotten ones at that because what has come out of some of the mouths out there really stinks. HaHa LOL my 2 cents

  • speed1

I guess it is frustration. The people would like to have that the best looking sim game will be a HQ sim. Preferably in pre-alpha alread but they fear it never will be. Only the way to express it. fails. Otherwise why should someone invest time for a product if there was no intrest.

  • http://twitter.com/Dillyracer Dylan H.

Shift 1 and Shift 2 are at 80 on metacritic, that’s hardly getting negative press reviews.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

Yeah, I mean you’re not going to get that quality product while it’s still in pre-Alpha or beta stage. Expressing it as frustration is to be expected but, as I said, being mad at an incomplete game is silly.
This is where WMD is clever. With this system you can turn your frustration into constructive criticism and post your thoughts (in a proper way) on the WMD forum where it will be seen. You may get support for your ideas and you may not. Heck you might even prompt changes in the software or at least get to know what is happening with the bits you’re not happy with.
You get a chance to voice your opinion and be heard while the game is in development. To me, that is a far better option than going to a different site and either just having a whinge or blatantly trolling about it.
I’ve made posts on the WMD forums about things that weren’t right for me or things I didn’t like in pCARS and most of them were answered (by SMS staff too!) so then I knew if was going to be changed/looked at or why things were as they are. The opportunity is there, it’s all about either being part of it or sitting on the outside crying about it

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

Have you ever been a little more productice and gone to WMD forums and told them why it ‘sucks’. Maybe you’ll get a decent answer if you ask nicely.

  • Big Ron

Shift 1 and 2 were higly positive rated by the press for being racing games.

  • Big Ron

Please not this “every staff should work on physics”-argument. Did you ever see a boss telling his draftsman to weld pipelines or bring the electronics to work? The only guys who can work on physics are the physics-guys and that´s what they do every day.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=720446041 Nazirull Safry Paijo

LOL. they many like me. Even here, we got negative vote to our comments. Let alone in their forums. Ive tried. Perhaps u should give it a visit urself

  • speed1

Yes you are right. I agree with you.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

What makes you think I don’t ? I’m not the one complaining about it. I understand that a there is a process that needs to be gone through to get a game to final. Everything doesn’t come together in one week.
As I’ve said, don’t worry about the negative votes, they are meaningless.

  • Tiago Lapa

Of course you are right mate.. only fail is no one is arguing or proposing that. This game is marketing. IMO.

  • punkfest2000

Nothing is for free man. Nobody is getting robbed. How much is rfactor to try beta?

  • punkfest2000

Exactly how long ago was the last time you tried it…and how exactly did it “suck”? Things change very quickly with this product.

  • Skytrill .

Wait a minute.. once you pay for rfactor2 beta you also own the final build.. or am I wrong?

  • Alejandro Gorgal

Yes you own the game, though depending on how much you paid you might only be able to access multiplayer for a year and after that there will be a fee.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=720446041 Nazirull Safry Paijo

LOL wuteva….cant change the fact that it sucked lol

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

Well, you sucked when you were in your infancy too. (Your thumb amongst other things.)
If it ‘sucks’ for you that’s your problem. No-one will be losing any sleep over it.
And judging by that last post of yours, which is as ‘kiddie’ as it gets, it seems I made a mistake in speaking to you like an adult.

BTW, if you’re thinking of becoming one of these pCARS haters that just posts in pCARS threads to criticise in this manner, then think again. They are a dying breed around here.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

Nazirull, LOL, pleez wotch how u speek 2 uva memberz on dis site LOL!

LOL I tried 2 rite dat in ur pwn style so u cud understand it. LOL

i dunt hate…im giving ‘feedbacks’. get it?
i dun hate pcars….i love the great screenies. other aspect of it no.
I dont care wut others feel abt it. lol. kiddie or not.
Its a simple ‘feedback’. suprised ‘adults’ cant understand it LOL

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=720446041 Nazirull Safry Paijo

    Okay.jpg LOL

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

There are better ways to give what you call feedback than ‘it sucks’.
If you don’t care how others feel about it, why did you ask ‘How’s the driving?’
Everyone understands it but not everyone appreciates that kind of talk. Maybe grow it up a bit ? Offer an explanation ? Cos otherwise no-one will care or help you and you just sound like you’re provoking a reaction.

  • sargentjack86

What is really impressive is that the Raceroom demo, even with all the driving aids on, still feels 10x more realistic than any vehicle in pCARS. ;-0

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=720446041 Nazirull Safry Paijo

looks li ke u cant understand a simple description sucked in sims means. u asked me to grow up boy? hahahahah.
not a place to be detailed abt it either. ive done it in their forums anyway..and no one seems to care lol.

o hell ive been provoking quite alot in their forum. hoping for some to rly react to it by finally doing it.

  • http://racingrenders.com/ F1Racer

You like trying to push my buttons don’t you ?

  • TheRoggan

I don’t think pCars feels arcade at all.

To me it feels like its intended to be quite “hard core” simulation but the parameters and dynamics needed to make it feel “right” are not there yet (the dev team has acknowledged this and are working on it, e.g. with tiremodel and other aspects).

Its way too unforgiving and hard to drive to be intended as an arcade racer. All(!) arcade racers like Grid or NFS are easy to drive and drift etc, pCars is NOT.

Ridiculously biased website now, which is 95% game news and very little ‘community’.
