    still no ruapuna? boo!

To be fair, I’ve never heard of that track. There are many more famous tracks that are not in the sim.

      • http://www.facebook.com/steve.shears.37 Steve Shears

Yeah but who wants famous tracks? Every game has them. Its dull to see lots of tracks seen before.

        +1

They did a poll to find out which tracks should be in the game. Low and behold a lot of standards like Monza, Spa and Silverstone were high on the list. There are a good number of not-so-well-known tracks coming or already implemented but the community said they wanted these.

Right now I don’t like the Formula A so tracks like Monza and Spa aren’t fun but I suspect they will be when the main cars that use the track are believable.

My favorite right now is Derby (notDonnington, as it were).

Unfortunately, there’s lots of ‘lowest common denominator’ in sim racing. Why do you think super simple drafting tracks (Monza and Watkins Glen on the road side, Daytona and Talledega on the oval side) are so much more popular than those which require a bit of talent?

      • http://www.facebook.com/kris.baxter2 Kris Baxter

It was announced in June along with the Formula Gulf series. Its world famous in NZ, and frankly, if you’d been a hardcore rfactor racer you would have heard of it too.

actually just read the forums on WMD, looks like no wip screenies yet anyway, so I guess I should stop holding my breath.

“Its world famous in NZ” made my day :)

Sorry but I had to LOL at that one :)

It was a marketing slogan dreampt up for a NZ drink called L & P, or lemon and paeroa, a fantastic soft drink only available in NZ, which is a shame, cos it makes a great mixer, especially with Canadian Club Whiskey.

How is the seta tire model coming along? What cars has it been properly integrated into so far?

    • pez2k .

There are currently six tyre carcasses and eight tyre compounds so far, with every car having its own specific combination of the two. Most of them are still placeholder, the vast majority of cars have a fairly appropriate tyre now but not the exact, finished article.

No. In this build the Ariel, Z4 and Tourer are drivable but many arn’t really. Still early days but no doubt someone will come along and make some stupid comment saying how theres little time left, this game is arcade, etc, etc.

Theres little time left and this game is arcade.. etc etc

For me the M1 Procar is pretty cool. Very alive.

Theres a long way to go with cars..but its very good . The guys over there are doing a great job and listening to the people who have invested. The tire model is getting better all the time.

Im more disapointed there is no Brands or Oulton Park…

    • http://www.facebook.com/steve.shears.37 Steve Shears

Give em time, they’re still working on the existing tracks and adding new ones. Rheres still at least 7 to come. Mountain range, Outon Park, Brands, Snett’s, Cadwell, Ruapuna and theres still one being done by the winner of an early comp. We’ve not seen that. Plus, i dare say a couple more could make it over from shift if theres time. London should really be brought over…IMO of course. Best London version race track in any game, arcade or sim.
