No need to wait for karts, I’ve done IRL probably around 150 laps on the kart track (much more mileage on parts of it) in a road car and it’s a blast. Well, maybe not when you are in a mid engined 750hp supercar, but still.

It is over done, but not in the car or the physics, its over done as in how the green track currently works for its starting grip point. At the moment its as if the track is brand new, has an inch layer of dust, and hasn’t been driven over by a single car in its entire life, so with grip that horrendously low its going to give differently bad handling balances depending on the car. They have to give the track a much better grip starting point, so that they can make a green track (but one that gets used often) have much more starting grip then a track in the desert that gets used 3 times a year (thats how all tracks seem to be at the moment when green, which isn’t right, and way too low starting grip, like you say).

For the time being, until they up the green track starting grip, have you tried putting literally 25 -30 a.i, drivers and let them go over the track over a 3 or so hour period, accelerate time obviously, unless you want to watch the a.i. for 3 hours lol.

I have, in the past, used AI to rubber in the track but what if I want a private test day ? You’re right though the green track condition seem as if to make the track like it’s covered in oil or dust as you say.
Front wheels don’t seem affected by it though. I can point them wherever I need them. There should be a road state that isn’t green but is already in a ‘ready to race’ state. Having to wait for AI to rubber it in is just silly.

Hopefully it will get sorted soon so we can get running on tracks straight out of the box.

I think you can save different rubbering in states.

In RFactor 2, the time of day, and even the day of the year all effects physics and graphics, like weather, lighting, colours, humidty and so forth, well they should apply this same concept to the track rubbering dont you think??…. For example, so and so track gets used 4 times a week from march until october, november to february it gets used on just 3 days total. So and so track gets used 4 days a month throughout the entire year. Etc. Have these parameters all set in the track file.

Im assuming something like this will be implemented, maybe in a more basic form, (or might already be implemented), ISI are aware that track rubbering in is too extreme from one side to the other, and also happens way too quickly, they said its not close to done yet, so like everything with this sim, time will improve it. This can be frustrating, but at the same time encouraging that they are taking an iracing style to the games constant code development and improvements (like iracing, this includes all aspects of the software like physics, features, graphics etc).

This puts to bed any misguided argument that people might have that rFactor 2 graphics are rubbish.

Yes Ive been saving the road states. But can you save a road state for one track and load it into another ? These are things we just don’t know, or at least I don’t.

Sleep is overrated anyway. That said, this track looks really AWESOME. It’s guys like feels3 who could get rF2 somewhere, where it’ll actually be worthy of buying.

it won’t stop the 5 minute crowd who don’t have a clue what they are doing from continuing to think no progress has been made, who probably don’t even enable anti-aliasing and use 8600 gt’s and laptops on 14 inch 4:3 tn film screens. rf2 is still the benchmark sim for me, and the graphics are showing sparks of brilliance here and there, and a feeling of being alive more than any other sim, and this track shows it in full.

I think it is worthy of buying already, it not only for this and the Croft track. rF2′s potential is just waiting to be unlocked just like is was with rF1. Ahh the days of the Rhez and the Howston :)

Can someone help me please ? because I can’t install this awesome track.

I’ve placed the file Poznan_Circuit_1_0.rfcmp in the packages folder as
usual, but when i open the mod manager, I can’t find it in the list of
mods.

I just updated rfactor 2 to the last release and they have a new mod manager.

Any ideas ?
