Porsche at Sebring – rFactor Reality Check

Niels Heusinkveld has created an interesting reality check video using rFactor.

The video below shows a lap around Sebring in a Porsche GT3 Cup Car both in ISI’s simulation and in real-life, as usual with Niels the video shows off one of his own physics creations!

This not my best lap but I do love the Car+Track Combo being used in the comparison

Blip your throttle when downshifting ;). Your rear wheels are locking up under braking.

No. I’m happy doing it the way I’m doing. I have recorded a lap around 5 seconds faster in this combo but not while live capture running. FRAPS videos end up being quite large with the way I have it set

What did you use to capture this video ?

        Fraps

    Credit where credit is due.

Thank you Virtua LM team for this epic version of Sebring.

I got this track and it is really awesome!!! I played with HistorX cars. Unfortunatelly I cant install enduracers mod or blancpain, there is something with the high revs sounds clipping and I never found a solution :(

    • Dani .

Me too, i don’t know why sounds are not blending ok. Do you have a creative soundcard?

      • xisque

Nops, Gigabyte H87 onboad soundcard (realtek) :(

      • Dani .

I think it’s about rfactor sound engine, i have only that problem with Enduracers Flat6 and some Niels sounds. think it’s about 48khz, but i don’t know case some offers “normal” samples as update but sounds are bad buffer also.

Does anyone have a link for this MOD? I mean the Porsche GT3.
    Thanks!

My vid is Endurance Series Mod and car is Flat 6 I can’t imagine anything else being any better?

    Dear Niels,
I hope you’ll start making your mods for Assetto Corsa. I know it would be a hard transmission, but I’m sure you could get a lot of helps from Kunos and much appreciation from the community. I wouldn’t mind driving your NSX or Z06 in AC for 24 hours straight. In rFactor, they are truly state of the art, but I feel that in AC they could be that much better :) .
Also, a Porsche in AC is all we miss, I’m sure many of us agree (I know there’ll be a RUF dlc, but who knows when will that be).
With many thanks and much respect,
    a great fan of yours

If you look at his talk and drives he explains how he got into rfactor. You’ll see that it takes years to be able to create your own physics because you first need to understand the physics engine.
It would be a much more realistic expectation to see him work on rfactor 2 rather than AC as the physics engine is largely the same.
