After countless of renders and WIP shots, Team GSMF has released the first ever preview video of their Porsche 997 GT3-RSR for rFactor.
The video shows Porsche’s GT2 challenger at Mid Ohio, sporting the Land Motorsport VLN colors.
The final mod will include the car in plenty of liveries from well-known sports car series like the American Le Mans Series, the Le Mans Series and the FIA GT.

At the beginning I thought that sounds were attached on the video, considering how great they are… STUNNING!

The sounds samples are pretty good but I hope they’ll be stitched together better in the final release. The pitch (i.e. revs) of some samples doesn’t match while overlapping at times.
Sorry I’m picky when it comes to sounds.

The Doppler effect might be too exaggerated, it can be changed very easily. Nevertheless, rFactor still holds the title for the best sounding sim & mods.
It looks like the car rides incredibly well too, worthy of the next generation standards! I hope rF2 content will match this.

PS: while whining about the sounds I forgot to mention that it looks brilliant ) And I’m sure those slight problems can be fixed in the sfx file w/o much trouble.
The only big problem is that there’s no F430 to match
